Laura stood before the full length mirror gaping at the reflection that gaped back at her.
She couldn't believe her eyes. The ordinary Laura had been transformed into a very glamorous and gorgeous Laura. Lizzy had always been a good makeup artiste.

"I look..."
She was lost for words.

"Extremely beautiful, I know," Lizzy finished for her. "Gorgeous, sumptuous, delicious, luscious, glorious, lustrous-"

"Lizzy!" Laura rolled her eyes. "You sure have a way with words."

Lizzy grinned. "I know, right? But really baby gurl, you look extremely...hawt!"

"Thanks." Laura smiled warmly. "And all thanks to you my love, your handwork made me look this way."

"You're always welcome sweetie, just make sure you do more than just slaying him with your looks."
Lizzy winked.

"Lizzy! Oh my God, how did I ever end up with you?"

Lizzy grinned foolishly and pretended to be in thought. "Because you love me, and can't do without me, and..."

Laura rolled her eyes. "Yea right."
She turned to the mirror once more, hardly believing that she was the woman in the mirror.

"But are all these not too much?" She gestured to her whole attire. "Will he even recognise me or still...er...be interested in me? I look quite different and I don't know if it's too much."
She said as she suddenly felt uncomfortable with her appearance.

Lizzy came to stand beside her, facing the mirror as well.
"My dear Laura, he has seen the naturally beautiful and plain side of you and is still interested in you. I assure you that he will appreciate the extra effort you made to look more beautiful for him tonight."
She looked at Laura through the mirror.
"And tonight, you look stunningly beautiful, astonishingly gorgeous. And any man who says or thinks otherwise is either blind...Or a hopeless idiot!"
She finished in her usual Lizzy manner.

Laura had to laugh at that.
"Oh Lizzy, I don't know what to do with you." She sobered. "You know, you are really a good adviser and enlightener when you are not your crazy self."

"I know, right?"

Just then, the doorbell rang and Laura froze.

"Oh God, the hour has come." She shivered. Suddenly cold.

"Hey loosen up, will you. It's not the devil that's coming to pick you up."

Laura's eyes widened. "Oh my God Lizzy!"

"What?" Lizzy asked, looking scared when she saw the horror on her friends face.

"He just rang the doorbell. My family are going to know that it's Greg!"
Laura raced out of the door.

"Laura!"
Lizzy raced after her too. When they got to the top of the stairs and was about to descend, Laura stopped abruptly causing Lizzy to almost run into her and muttered a curse.

A wave of relief washed over her as she saw that it wasn't Greg at the doorstep but an unknown young man.

Just then, her phone rang and it was Greg on the line.
"Hello angel, sorry I didn't tell you earlier. I sent a man, Andrew, to come pick you up as I figured you wouldn't want me to come, myself."

"Yea, you figured right." She replied.

He chuckled. "As always, sweetheart. He will bring you to me."

"Okay."

"Can't wait to see you."
And he hung up. Laura rolled her eyes in frustration.

Samantha had answered the door while Celina and Mirabel sat, staring curiously as the man was permitted in.
