As early as five in the morning, he woke up. He blinked his eyes as he tried to get them adjusted to the little light coming in from the moon through the window.
Then he felt softness pressed warmly against him and he looked down to behold her calm sleeping glorious face illuminated by the morning moonlight and everything that had happened the previous night and the early hours of the morning came rushing into his head.
They had had sex. No. The better word was, they had made love. He had tried to take it as just casual sex during the deed, but the wave of emotions and passion that flowed between them was so intense that it couldn't be described as just casual sex.
If felt so natural. So right. He didn't feel guilty which made him wonder why. No matter how hard he forced himself to feel guilty, something kept telling him that he hadn't done anything wrong.
He looked at her again. She was so beautiful. And he wasn't just talking about her face.
The sex had been earth shattering and he found himself wanting her again.
He shook his head.Nothing was going to be the same between them again. Not after what had happened between them. There was no way he would look at her and not think about the night they had spent together. He didn't even feel this rush of passion during his time with Samantha.
He shook his head again. He had to leave now. He was going mad. Besides, he had a meeting at eight that morning so he had to go back home in order to get ready.
He slowly got out of the bed and dressed up noiselessly, his eyes on her face the entire time. He longed to have her back in his arms and just sleep the rest of the morning away but scolded himself.
He had to leave.Leaving a note on her bedside table which he couldn't fathom why he didn't just leave without an explanation, he let himself out of the house and made to go look for a cab when he stopped and glanced at his car.
Deciding to try it once more, he entered the car and tried to start it and this time, the car started and was in good condition again. What the...? Or had the mechanic come to fix the car while they were indoors? He would have to call the man later.
He looked at his phone and swore when he saw several missed calls from Samantha and some others. The phone was in the living room and he definitely didn't hear it ring.
He drove away from the vicinity with a feeling that he had left a part of him there.

Laura sighed in disappointment when she discovered he was not in the bed with her as she had hoped he would. And he wasn't in the house as well because she had got up and checked.
He left.
Swallowing her disappointment, she walked back to the room and into the bathroom to clean her face and go get Cameron. When she walked back in to the bedroom, her face still etched in sadness, her eyes caught the note on the bedside table with a familiar handwriting.
She quickly went over and picked up the note and it read:
Had to leave coz I have a meeting this morning and didn't want to wake you.
G.
She smiled. It might not be much but it was something that meant a lot to her. At least, he had explained why he had to leave. He hadn't just left because he saw her as just a one night stand and for that she was grateful. Her Greg.
After getting Cameron back from her kind neighbors, she got set to do some Saturday clean up while Cameron played with his toys in his cot. Whenever she looked at him, she couldn't help but smile widely, thinking about his father and the beautiful wild night they had shared.
