She placed her hand on her protruded tummy and smiled as she watched her husband and son, their heads bent in concentration and with cute matching frowns on their foreheads as they went through the book before them.
They were so similar, both in appearance and in character. She sighed in contentment.
It had been a very blissful three years. Too blissful that she found it terrifying. It all seemed too good to be true at the initial stage but when she thought about everything she had gone through, she realized that she deserved every happiness that came to her. Her husband, her son and the baby in her womb who, she always felt couldn't wait to come into the world and meet it's family.
A small cloud of sadness settled on her face as she thought of her step mother, Celina. After the confessions that fateful day, the police had arrived and arrested her and she was charged to court and was found guilty of attempted murder then was sentenced to many years of imprisonment.
It had been a lot for Samantha to bear since her mother was her only companion and she had seriously taken ill as a result of that. She soon recovered though and was sent abroad with Sydney by their father.
Mirabel had finally found a man of her dreams and they were already planning their wedding.
Lizzy of course, had married the love of her, Ronald about two years ago and they had both had a beautiful baby girl, Sonia.
Her friend Edna and Greg's brother were also engaged to be married and it was also one of the happiest news that brightened her mornings.
Dexter. She sighed as she thought of him. The news about her and Greg getting back together had rendered him devastated and he had stayed on his own, didn't socialize for two years, though spoke to her on very few occasions. It was only recently that he told her he'd finally found the woman that made his heart beat. One beautiful and vivacious young lady Mabel, who suited him perfectly and Laura was more than happy for him.
Her father, as usual had gone back to the States but he kept in contact from time to time. Despite the fact that she had wanted a quiet wedding, he had talked Greg into wholly agreeing to throw a lavish wedding that had been the talk of the town.
In his words, she was his first child and his first child's wedding was definitely not going to be a quiet affair.Freda had traveled back to France to continue her fashion business for she was a fashion designer, though she had attended their wedding with their parents who had come into the country about two months before the wedding. She had loved the elderly couple immediately they met and they in turn had loved her. And she finally saw where Greg got his good looks from. His father was a tall handsome man who must have been taller and much more handsome in his younger years and his mother who Freda took after in looks was also an epitome of beauty and looked younger than her age. The couple were both good looking but it was clear who was more good looking out of the two. Though no one ever mentioned that Greg's father was more good looking than his wife in her presence. And the couple were still obviously in love at their age with the way they looked at each other and the loving manner in which they acted towards each other.
She smiled widely as she recalled the day of their wedding which had taken place about a year after the reconciliation even though Greg had wanted it sooner. She had decided they would still get to know each other more for a year and do things that couples that were courting did until she finally
accepted his marriage proposal.Though it hadn't been the quiet wedding she had initially wanted, it had been one of the best and happiest days of her life.
She recalled the look of admiration and contentment on Greg's face as she walked down the aisle to meet him and he almost teared up in joy as he too had felt it was too good to be true.
They were proclaimed Man and wife that day with much much more than a hundred people as witnesses.
