"He kissed me."

She said to herself for the umpteenth time.

Greg couldn't stop himself from kissing her even though he didn't remember her yet.

She smiled. He was definitely still attracted to her.

She looked at Cameron who was playing with her hair in her arms and grinned in excitement at the memory of the passionate moment.

Even Lizzy had danced around the sitting room after she had informed her when she went to pick Cameron. She had said it was a first step to a successful mission and she was right. If she played her cards well, she might just have her Greg in her arms once again.

She couldn't get the images of their makeout out of her head. The familiar sweetness of his lips, the feel of his body against hers had made her realize she had been starved of him and she needed him back in her life.

Friday morning got her strutting confidently into the office building with a wide smile on her face.
She warmly greeted everyone she came across, keeping the smile fixed on her face.

"Laura!" Edna smiled widely in curiosity. "You're looking quite happy this morning."

Laura grinned. "Have I ever looked angry on a Friday morn?"

"Not really, but still..."

"But still, nothing." Laura interrupted cheerfully.  "Did you sleep well?"

❤❤❤

"Why in heavens name is Mr Williams not here today of all days?" Laura cried frustratingly. She wanted him to tell her what he thought of the project she had prepared and of course, see if she could get intimate with him again.

Edna shrugged. "You know this is not the only company he owns."

Laura pouted. "But I needed to hear his opinion on that project I burnt candles for."

"Uh, I'm sure he'll be here on Monday?"

"But that's like three days from now!" She whined. "God knows I'll be restless till then."

"Well you could always call him." Edna suggested.

"Hmm, you have a point there. I'll do that later."

"Good." Edna smiled. "So are you still attending that party tomorrow evening with Dexter? The minister's daughter's party?"

"I guess so." Laura said slowly. "Dexter won't have it if I refused."

"This Dexter seems like a great guy. I wonder why you don't want to officially start dating him. He's so sweet," Edna winked. "And hot too."

She smiled. "I know. But I'm not interested in him in that way and I'm sure he's not too."

"Oh Laura." Edna face palmed. "When will you stop being blind? It is obvious, even to the blind that that guy is head over heels..."

"No he's not and that's final."

Edna groaned.
"You're hopeless."

Laura laughed. "Maybe I am."

"And you're attending the party as his date." Edna pointed out.

"Nope, I'm attending as just an escort."

Edna rolled her eyes. "Whatever helps you sleep." She stood up. "I'll be in my office if you need me. Especially with getting ready for the party with that hunk of a guy as an escort."

Laura shook her head and chuckled.

Later in the day, she was told by Greg's secretary that he was around and wanted to see her.
