With an enthusiastic heart, Laura walked into the office building, a huge and radiant smile on her face on Monday morning.

She had a reason to be happy, very much so. And the thought of that reason widened the smile on her face.

Edna bumped into her when she rounded a corner and gave a wide happy grin of hers.

"Laura!"

"Hey Edna, good morning!"

"Good morning Laura, you look quite happy this morning."

Laura grinned. "That's because I am happy. And you, you look quite radiant and excited this morning. What's up?"

Edna smiled dreamily. "Oh Laura, you won't believe this! Guess what?"

"Oh come on Ed don't keep me in suspense, just spill!"
Laura said excitedly.

"Levi asked me to be his girlfriend, last night."

Laura's eyes widened in excitement. "Omg! Girl, are you serious?"

"I can't even believe it myself." Edna replied.

"Oh Edna, I'm so happy for you!" Laura grinned embracing her.

"Thanks Laura, I'm happy for me too." She smiled widely. "And thank you for encouraging me to go for what I want."

"Come on girl, it's nothing. But you're welcome."

Edna smiled appreciatively.

"I want to hear all the details during lunch."

Edna giggled. "Of course girl, consider it done."

Still smiling, Laura walked in to her office and dropped her handbag on her desk.
She took deep breaths and was ready to start the day.

She thought about Greg and the smile widened. Now that they had made sweet love, there was no way he would look at her without thoughts of that wild night coming into his mind. It was a step forward.
Now she had to think of the next step to take to fully claiming him back.

As she turned to walk to her seat, an odd envelope caught her eyes. She picked it up and discovered that it was a letter addressed to her.

Who could have sent this? She thought. Apprehension suddenly took over her and she hesitated at opening the letter.
But seeing that she would open it anyway, she took a deep breath and opened the sealed envelope and two pieces of paper came into view. After all, she had nothing to be scared of as she hadn't done anything wrong.

She opened the first piece and glanced through it then froze and her eyes widened in panic when she saw the title of the formal letter.

She was fired.

"Come on babe, at least have breakfast."

Greg sighed. "Sam I can't. If I sit down to eat I would run late for work. Besides I need to see to things at my advert firm before I head over to the oil site."

"The more reason why you have to eat." Samantha protested. "Come on Greg it won't take you more than six minutes to eat this up."

"Sam-"

"Please Greg, please please please." She pouted. "This could be the only time today you might have to eat, considering your busy schedule for today so come on."

He groaned in frustration, then relented.

"Fine."

She smiled in triumph.
