"I don't like the sound of this." I repeated, following Ashton down the passage and into the living room. Ashton looked over his shoulder and rolled his eyes.
"We already discussed this, it's tradition. I'm going, Jack is going, so is Cameron and the rest of the guys." He droned. I frowned.
That's exactly why I don't want to go anymore, Jack. After our little argument, the last thing I hope is to see him right now. Anyways, there's still stuff I have to start doing. I have to find a way out of this, and now.
"But I don't even like big crowds, I'm claustrophobic." I retorted. Ashton put his hands on my shoulders, looking deep into my eyes before smirking.
"I honestly don't even give a shit, go get ready." I stared him out before he chuckled and twisted my shoulders, navigating me back into my bedroom.
I didn't get the chance to answer him before he shoved me in my bedroom. Turning back around I hastily walked back over to my door in hopes to open in but I couldn't. Ashton was holding the knob in order for me not to turn it open. I was locked in And his strength compared to mine, that's how it was going to stay.
"You've got an hour." I could feel him smirk in his words. An angry puff of air was released from my mouth in frustration. He wasn't letting this go, was he? "Oh and.. Wear something nice."
"And what do you mean by that?" I rolled my eyes, ignoring the fact that he couldn't even see it. Knowing Ashton, nice might just be me dressing up like a hooker for their entertainment.
"You can help get the band some attention, you know, talk to some people about us.. Spread some of your girl charm tonight." His smirk got wider.
He disgusts me, I swear. How does this guy even have the dignity to say something like that.. And to me! I'm his little cousin for God's sake! Yet here he is trying to sugar code his words into me being a hooker for the night to get him some business.
"No!" I retort, scoffing and turning back over to my closet. That's when my bedroom door opened and Ashton walked in.
"Zo, please, you have to understand that this is really important to me.. To us. You have to go, please, please! I don't know what else I can do to convince you?"
I saw the worry in his eyes, the hunger of how badly he wanted this. Ashton is not a man of many words but he can sure get a girl to say yes. I'm going to regret this so much in a few hours, watch. "Fine." I sighed and he felt relieved for the moment. "But on one condition!" I interrupted, pointing a finger towards his way.
"Name it." He looked tempted on his honest answer. On him, it's clear to see whether he's telling the truth or not. It's a skill I've picked up from watching my Mom doing her psychology stuff on her patients.
"I get to pick what I wear." I spoke demandingly and with a straight look on my face.
He felt understanding about that. His bottom lip was taken under the top row of his teeth as he solemnly nodded his head. "Okay."
"And if I ever say I don't want to do something, Ash, I don't want to do it. So don't make me, okay?"
"Yes." He nodded. "Fine, whatever." Ashton took a few steps closer to me and placed his hands over my shoulder. "Thank you so much, Zo." He was quick to bring me in a quick embrace, pulling away and walking back over to my door.
I really couldn't say your welcome because after all, he's the one doing me the favor here, saving me from my father.
Ashton pointed back at me once he was halfway out my room, smiling brightly. "You're the best."
