-3rd person POV-
Daniel Besson, Corbyn Besson, and Emily Besson headed inside the hospital, all to familiar with this situation. They were here every other week so they knew what to do.
Emily has stage 2 Leukemia. She had been battling this horrible disease for about five months now. She was only 6 and had already suffered through so much in those five months then she has her entire life. It was to the point where late nights, she wished to just be gone.
Emily would never tell her thoughts to her daddies. She could never. Cause she didn't want to leave her daddies. She wanted to leave the pain.
"Alright baby, you know what to do," Corbyn said as they made it to the hospital room, handing Emily the hospital gown they had given him as they made their way to the room.
"Ok," she whispered softly, letting out a sigh as she made her way towards the bathroom to change.
Daniel and Corbyn frowned once Emily has gone in the bathroom. Seeing her in pain was one of the most difficult things they had seen. It physically hurt them to see her the way she was.
Tears welled up in Daniel's blue eyes. He couldn't stand it. Seeing his little princess in so much pain. He along with corbyn, wished many times to take her place. They would switch places without even thinking about it if it meant that their little princess would no longer suffer.
"It's alright love. She's got this," Corbyn whispered into his husband's ear, wrapping his arms around Daniel.
"I know, it's just so hard," Daniel said, a few tears slipping from his eyes.
Emily walked out before Corbyn could say anything, frowning once she realized that her dad had been crying.
"What's wrong dad?" She asked Daniel, going towards him and wrapping her little arms around Daniel's right leg.
"I'm just emotional. Don't worry," Daniel chuckled, lifting her up and putting her on his hip.
Soon the doctor walked in and Emily frowned. Nothing the pain she would be in for the next three hours. She hated coming here. But she had no choice.
Corbyn and Daniel stood outside the room, watching their baby girl lay down completely still as the chemo worked it's thing. Emily knew her daddies were watching so she held her tears in. Refusing to let them fall. But the pain was increasing. It was usually painful but never this painful.
Emily held her tears in for the next five minutes but it got to the point where she could no longer hold them in. It felt like she was being cooked alive.
Her tears escaped her eyes, her shoulders shaking from how hard she was sobbing.
"STOP PLEASE! IT HURTS!" She screamed out, Corbyn and Daniel gasping. Both starting to cry.
"PLEASE STOP!" She screamed out again.
"DR. AVERY STOP!" Emily yelled to her doctor.
Dr. Avery switched off the machine and immediately ran over to her. Corbyn and Daniel were not aloud in the room. Due to all the radio waves. But they were banging on the bullet proof glass.
Five minutes later Emily was aloud to end the session early but Dr. Avery had to talk to Corbyn and Daniel to tell them news.
"DADDY!" Emily sobbed, running towards Corbyn as the door opened to where Corbyn and Daniel were waiting.
"Baby girl," Corbyn said, tears running down his cheeks as he lifted up Emily and gave her a hug which she returned.
"Mr. Besson, Mr. Besson," Dr. Avery nodded towards the two.
"Yes?" Asked Daniel as he took Emily from Corning once Emily reached her hands out for Daniel.
"Please come with me. We have a few things to discuss from today's session," Dr. Avery said as Corbyn and Daniel shared a worried look but followed the doctor to his office.
Daniel and Corbyn sat down in the chairs that were placed in front of Dr. Avery's desk. Emily sitting on Corbyn's lap as Daniel and Corbyn held hands for comfort. No idea weather the news was gonna be good or bad.
"We have took time to figure why Emily was in very much pain today. More then normal." He said then cleared his throat.
"It seems that the cancer has spread," he said as Corbyn's, Daniel's, and Emily's hearts stopped. Emily was mature for her age. Her hearing such big words as she went through all sorts of treatments taught her a thing or two.
"But there good news. Emily only has cancer in her appendix. Something that we could easily remove. It just stores good bacteria. Even though we have it, we don't necessarily need it. The reason why it hurt so much today was because the waves were attacking her organs, not the cancer because there was no more cancer there," Dr. Avery said as Corbyn and Daniel started crying. Tears of happiness.
Corbyn has gotten his appendix taken out at in 5th grade so he knew. And although it made him more easy to get sick and caused side effects, he was healthy over all.
"We just need you're guys permission to take or Emily's appendix and after the surgery, hopefully she will be cancer free," Dr. Avery said as a smile appeared on his face. Emily's face lighting up at the words cancer free.
"Yes of course. Where we do sign?" Daniel immediately said, happy that his baby girl will hopefully be cancer free.
A few hours later, Emily was out of surgery. Even though the surgery takes 45 minutes to an hour, they had to sign papers then fall the doctor who does it. They had to hurry though, afraid the cancer would spread.
So there stood Daniel and Corbyn as they looked at their baby girl who was on the hospital bed. Just out of surgery, still sleeping from the medicine. Now it was just time for her to recover. She would need a whole week without school and would remain in bed rest.
"Thank you," Daniel said as he turned towards Corbyn. Corbyn furrowing his eyebrows at Daniel.
"What for?" Corbyn Asked Daniel, pilling him closer.
"For staying my side and keeping me sane. Truth is that I would be a mess without you. I love you," Daniel admitted.
"The same goes for you Dani. I love you so much. Please never forget that," Corbyn smiled at Daniel then leaned down to kiss him.
"Through this together," Corbyn whispered to Daniel, giving him a butterfly kiss causing Daniel to giggle and smile at the comforting words from his love of his life
