-Daniel's POV-

I whimpered as thunder roared through the night sky. Lighting flashing as a new thunder roared a few seconds later. I hugged my knees tighter to my chest as I put my head on arms that were rested on top of my knees. Tears flowing down my cheeks. My cheeks red, my eyes red and puffy from the crying.

I looked out my window from the little sitting area I had beside it. My window was on the top floor of a hotel. I lived in the penthouse due to my father owning this hotel. I lived on my own. My father constantly on the road having to travel to many of his hotels around the world.

Jonah usually stays with me but he had to go home. He had a family emergency and I would never keep him away from his family. He invited me to come but this was a family emergency. Who was I to intertwine. But I also needed him here with me. I'm not good on my own.

Making my way downtown walking fast
Faces pass and I'm home bound
Staring blankly ahead just making my way
Making a way through the crowd

-3rd person POV-

Daniel stared at the window as all kinds of people shoved and pushed others out of their way. People rushing as they were running late. People in business suits on the phone as they held a briefcase. A tourist looking up at all the lights that made New York the city that never slept.

When going out with Jonah, Daniel never felt the crowd surrounding him. To him, it was just Jonah and him. The others didn't exist. They didn't matter to Daniel. The only thing that mattered was the boy who held his hand as they walked through the city. They made their own path through the crowd, faces past them, as they walked fast.

And now I wonder

Daniel would do anything to have Jonah's arms wrapped safely around him. Daniel slowly rocked himself back and fourth. Raindrops kept hitting the window as lighting would light up the darkness for a few seconds. Then thunder would roar the silence for few seconds after the lightening.

Daniel needed Jonah. Jonah was his rock, his shoulder, his everything. Without Jonah, Daniel felt empty. Like he was nothing. But with Jonah, Daniel made him feel like he was worth so much. That he couldn't be replaced. Daniel missed Jonah with everything in him but he couldn't in his heart find to call Jonah and tell him to comeback. Just because Daniel had no one who cared about him besides Jonah, didn't mean that Jonah had it the same. Jonah has family who cared about him along with friends.

The truth is that Daniel would fly, drive, travel anywhere and no matter how long if it meant that he would be back in Jonah's arms. Even if it was just for a second. In Jonah's arms, Daniel felt the best. He felt like he was worthy. Jonah made him feel worthy. Daniel loves Jonah and would absolutely do anything for that man. No matter the cost, weather it be something so simple or something so extreme.

Daniel's phone buzzed causing him to reach out for his phone. He picked up and read the message.

From mi amour ♥️ (my love):
I love you baby. Hope you're having an amazing night. I'm really sorry I couldn't be there for you but I'll be back in two days. I promise. I heard that there was a thunderstorm? Everyone's asleep here but I'll sneak out if you need me to.

To mi amour ♥️:
Nope it's fine. I'm fine, don't worry. I love you to. Now get some rest mi amour. I'll see you in two days ♥️

I sent the message and as it said delivered, my phone died. I let it fall out of my hands as I glanced at my nightstand. It was a picture of Jonah smiling at the camera. He looked absolutely beautiful. He always does.

I grabbed the frame and held it tightly to my chest. Tears once again running down my cheeks. I had to lie to Jonah, I didn't want him losing his sleep due to me not being able to handle a thunderstorm. He had been through so much, I couldn't add more to that.

I whimpered suddenly as thunder filled up the silence.

I looked at Jonah's picture as I leaned my head against the cool window. I missed and needed him here. I wish he could be here. But I couldn't be selfish. He needed to go home to his family.

I'll do anything for Jonah. I'd walk a thousand miles just to be his arms. I would learn to fly to just be in his arms. Cause he was so beautiful, it seemed like he walked out of a dream. A dream I never wanted to wake up from.

He was so far away when I wanted him close to me. I wanted him here and I never wanted him to leave. He belonged here with me. But I had to let him leave for a bit. He needed it. He needed to see his family. I just wish he wasn't so far away at the same time.

I wanted to update today in celebration of the book coming out! I got mine today! Who else did?! It's so beautiful! I'm on chapter 6 now! I read all the boys chapter that they write individual. It's so beautiful. It's so fascinating hearing about their stories. It's truly inspirational. I love them so much ♥️😩 they've come so far. I'm so proud of them. To see them grow has been an incredible journey to watch and experience. It truly amazes me how talented, humble, and sweet the boys are. They truly deserve this. I've always joined a fandom once they've gone big but with wdw, I was there before their one year. I joined 10 months after the band was formed and it's truly amazing how far they've come and grown. I wasn't here since the very beginning but I can promise you that I will be here till the end ♥️💜💕
