-Corbyn's POV-

"I'm heading over to Daniel's mom!" I yelled to my mom as I put on my shoes by the door.

"Alright Corbyn! Be back before 12! And if you see a Marais, look away!" She yelled back as I frowned.

"Will do!" I yelled back, ignoring the frown on my face.

I walked out of my house and headed down the street to Daniel's house. I wasn't actually gonna meet up with Daniel, I was gonna meet up with my boyfriend, Jonah. Daniel was a coverup. Jonah, my boyfriend, is a Marais. My family and his family hate each other. Due to their past battles. I've never really heard the story, all my life ever since I could remember, I've been told to stay away, don't look, nor breath near a Marais.

And I did. Until 10th grade, two years ago. I had been partnered up with Jonah. We were not aloud to switch partners so we decided to meet up at Daniel's house each time to work on our project. But slowly, we fell for each other. Soon, we got together but kept it hidden. Only two people know that Jonah and I are dating. Daniel and Zach, who are also together. They are also in the same position we are. Their families also hate one another. They were also paired up to be partners. But Daniel's parents and Zach's parents were more laid back and were strict on school so they let them work together since it was mandatory for school.

But once they were done, they could no longer be seen together. So Zach would lie and say he was going to Jonah's house. But we would all secretly meet at Daniel's house. Daniel's mother didn't hate Zach, more like his parents so she didn't have a problem with him coming over. And she would leave the house each Friday we met up and would go to a hotel or a friends house to let us have our privacy.

I knocked on the door once I finally made it to Daniel's house.

"Hey Corbyn! Come on in!" Daniel's mom greeted me.

"Hi Mrs. Seavey and thank you," I greeted her back while waking In.

"Well today, I gotta leave early. My girls and I are having a girls night out! You're the first one here so," she said as she rushed to the door.

"Daniel!" She screamed at her son as she grabbed her purse from the table by the door.

"Yea?" He asked her as he waved at me once he made it down the stairs.

"I'm leaving, come say bye," she said as he groaned.

"Mom, Corbyn's here!" He groaned as his cheeks turned red while I giggled.

"It doesn't matter. Now come on before I'm late," she said as he went over to her and brought in for a hug and kissed her cheek.

"Bye mom, stay safe," he said as he pulled away.

"You to honey. And use protection," she said as I let out a loud laugh.

"Mother!" Dani semi screamed.

"You to Corbyn," she said as my laughter came to a halt while Daniel took his turn to laugh.

"Alright bye," she said, waving at us while we waved back.

Five minutes after she left, the doorbell rang.

"Coming!" I yelled, making my way towards the door from the kitchen.

"Hey babe," I heard my beautiful boyfriend greet me as I opened the door.

"Hey baby," I said as i pecked his lips.

"Hi Zach," I greeted the youngest one from our little group with a hug.

"Where's dani?" He asked, pulling away from our hug.

"In the kitchen. We were making dinner, the reason I look like a mess," I laughed after I closed the door.

"I think you look like a beautiful mess. But most importantly, my beautiful mess," Jonah said as he came up to me and put his hands on my waist.

I blushed and looked up at him.

"I've missed you," I whispered as he craned his neck down to put his forehead on mine.

"I've missed you to my love. But I'm here now," he whispered softly as he kissed my forehead, my eyes fluttering shut.

"Dani! Come show me attention! Let's be cute like Corbyn and Jonah!" Yelled zach as jonah and I let out a laugh.

"I'm here sweetheart," Dani laughed as he wiped his hands on the apron.

"I've missed you dani," Zach said as he hugged Daniel.

"I've missed you to my sweet," Dani said as he hugged Zach, kissing the top of Zach's head.

"I wish this could be forever," Zach whispered to Daniel as he laid his head on Daniel's shoulder.

"Soon babe, soon," Daniel whispered softly, hugging Zach even tighter.

"Now let's go eat you guys!" Daniel said, pulling away from the hug with Zach.

-after dinner-

Jonah and I were in Daniel's guest room while Daniel and Zach were in Daniel's room.

This happened each time we would meet up. It was only 9, so we had three hours to be with our lovers before it was time we each went our separate ways. It was heartbreaking really. You wanna show off the person who makes you happy, who makes you smile, who can turn your tears of sadness to happiness or laughter. But you can't. Not when your families hate one another.

My head was on Jonah's chest as he had his arms wrapped around me. A show on the tv playing. I wrapped my arms tighter around Jonah, closing my eyes.

"What's wrong babe?" Jonah questioned me, glancing down at me as he started to play with my fake blonde hair.

"Nothing, I just want this," I started and took a deep breath, feeling my eyes drop. I knew I was gonna fall asleep. I always did. I wanted to take the chance while I can. Falling asleep in Jonah's arms. He would always wake me up at 11 so we had an hour to talk before we left.

"Moment 4 life," I finished, feeling him kiss my forehead as my eyelids finally dropped, darkness consuming me.

Hey you guys! I am so sorry for being gone two weeks! It's just I have no ideas for this book anymore! I have one or two drafts but that's it. I think this book will be ending soon 😩 but hopefully not if I come up with more ideas or get requests!

Also I've been dealing with some personal stuff. I sometimes feel so drained emotionally and physically so I've been focusing on that recently. I don't usually talk about it. I haven't about it with anyone tbh. This past week it has hit me hard. But I feel like I getting a little better. So yea. That's mostly why. I update my other book because I have chapters written beforehand.
