Adeline's P.O.V

I walked into Cheryl's backyard with Archie by my side. I looked around until my eyes landed on Sweet Pea's. I broke the gaze by looking at my brother.

"Let's go find a place to sit shall we?" I asked him.

"Alright."

I walked over to a chair next to Betty and Veronica. I put my bag down before taking out the sunblock. I saw Sweet Pea still staring at me.

"Hey! It's the Andrews siblings!" I heard. I looked over to see Reggie coming over to us.

"Reggie, can you be a dear and put sunblock on my back?" I asked him.

"Sure," Reggie said before taking the sunblock from my hands. He started to rub sunblock on my back making me look over. I looked over at Sweet Pea who didn't look happy at me.

After applying my sunblock, I stood up before turning to Reggie.

"Reggie, do you wanna get a drink with me?" I asked him.

"Sure," Reggie smiled.

I reached out my hand for him to hold. Reggie held my hand before smiling at me. We started to walk pass Sweet Pea and Josie as we went to get some drinks. I looked at Sweet Pea who seemed to have never taken his eyes off of me.

Reggie poured me some soda before we started to head back to our little area. I sat down on the chair as Reggie stood in front of me.

"So, little Andrews. Heard you and that Serpent are done," Reggie said. I looked at him in confusion. Word travels fast here in Riverdale.

"And?"

"You think I can get a second chance with you?" Reggie asked me.

"Let's wait until this trial is over," I tell him.

"I don't mind waiting for you," Reggie winked. I smiled at him before Archie came over with a football.

"Reggie, want to toss the ball a bit?" Archie asked him.

"Sure. Be right back, Adeline," Reggie tells me.

"Adeline!" I turned over to see Toni walk over to me.

"Hey, Toni."

"Can we talk?" She asked.

"Sure."

I followed her over to the side, away from some people.

"What's up?" I asked.

"I know what Sweet Pea did and I'm so sorry for that. I was just hoping that what he did won't affect our friendship in any way," Toni said.

"Toni, you're one of my best friends. Nothing will change between us. Even if I'm not with Sweet Pea anymore," I tell her.

"How are you holding up with all this?" Toni asked.

"Archie and I are going to spend some time together before the trial. Brother and sister bonding," I tell her.

"I see."

I saw Sweet Pea Walking over towards Toni and I. I quickly looked at Toni.

"I'm gonna go back to my brother now. I'll see you later," I tell her.

"Alright."

I quickly rushed off to my brother who looked at me. He and Reggie stopped tossing the ball.

"You okay, Adeline?" Archie asked me.

"Yeah. I just came to spend time with you," I said with a small smile. Archie looked up before looking back at me.

"Are you sure it wasn't because of Sweet Pea?"

"Oh shut it," I scoffed a little.

"Hey, Archie. If you do go in, don't you think that someone should watch over Adeline here?" Reggie asked.

"Jughead and Betty are watching over her," Archie said.

"Maybe she needs a little balance. Per say a bulldog watching her?" Reggie suggested.

"Are you suggesting to be my bodyguard if Archie goes away?" I asked Reggie. Reggie looked over before giving me a wink.

"Well, remember that if you do anything to Adeline she doesn't approve of, not only will I get you after I get out, but she's gonna get you. Adeline's been taking fighting classes," Archie tells him. It's true. Ever since the black hood, I've been taking some self defense classes. I smirked before leaning back onto my chair.

"A guy can dream," Reggie said.

"Keep dreaming a little longer," I tease him. Reggie walked over before taking a seat next to me.

"Since you're also available, do you think you can wear my jersey for the football season?" Reggie asked me.

"Maybe," I smile at him.

Archie's P.O.V

When the party was done, Adeline was packing up her stuff while Reggie came over to me.

"Hey, can I ask you something in private?" Reggie asked me.

"Uh sure," I said before we walked away a little from Adeline and Veronica.

"What's up?" I asked.

"I know that your sister may not be ready just yet but when she is, can I have your permission to date her?" Reggie asked me.

"I don't know, Reg. After what happened the first time, I only let you stay friends with her," I tell him.

"I know but I've changed. I promise to treat her as the princess she is," Reggie tells me.

"If she comes running to me with tears, I will kick your ass," I tell him.

"Noted," Reggie said.

"Archie! You ready?" I heard Adeline asked. I turned to her and smiled.

"Yeah. I'm ready," I tell her.
