Adeline's P.O.V
I made dad and I dinner so I could talk to him about what he knew about Gryphons and Gargoyles. As I was setting up the table, dad came over.
"What's the occasion for?" Dad asked me.
"No occasion. I haven't made dinner in a while so why not make some for tonight," I tell him.
"Alright. What are we having chef?" Dad asked.
"I cooked spaghetti and meatballs and I have garlic bread toasting in the oven," I say to him.
"Do you need any help sweetie?" Dad asked me.
"No. I got this," I tell him.
"Alright."
Once the food was ready, dad and I sat across from each other.
"So dad, you never told me much of your high school life," You tell him.
"Well what do you want to know sweetie?" My dad asked me.
"What did you use to do when you were my age?" I asked him.
"Well for starters, I use to play guitar like Archie," Dad told me.
"Like father, like son," I joked.
"Yeah," Dad chuckled.
"I knew you played baseball," I tell him.
"Yeah. Until your grandpa got sick," Dad told me.
"Did you ever play an old game called Gryphons and Gargoyles?" I asked him.
"I have not heard of that game in a long time. Never played it but I knew some people in my classes who played the game," Dad told me.
"So you nor mom ever played it?" I asked him.
"No. We weren't interested in that game," Dad told me.
"Oh. Well, there was a manual of the game in my locker so I thought I'd ask," I told him before eating my spaghetti.
"Really?" My dad asked me. I heard a hint of concern. I wanted to smirk but I didn't.
"Yeah. I was interested in playing the game with a few friends," I nodded.
"I don't think that's a good idea," Dad told me.
"Why not dad?" I asked him.
"Do you really want to get interested in a game and get distracted? I mean I don't have to worry about your grades since you are top of your class but you're young sweetie," Dad told me.
"I won't play it all the time," I tell him.
"I know but it's not a great game to get into," Dad told me.
"I understand dad," I said as I have a nod.
