Adeline's P.O.V

I sat around a table with Veronica and others to help break Archie out of juvie. I knew that I would be risking everything I had to do this but it was better than what they were doing to Archie in there from what Veronica said. I just wished I didn't have to lie to Beckham about this.

"Thank you all for coming. As you all know, Archie's stuck behind bars. His life is in danger," Veronica explained to us. Everyone gave me a glanced look as I took in a deep breath.

"Before we get started, I want to acknowledge that, yes, we are flying by the seat of our pants here, but as much as possible, we must follow the plan. The slightest deviation, and Archie could wind up dead," Veronica said. It killed me to think of that possibility.

"We'll need a distraction to disorient the guards and hide Archie's play for the grate, something we can sneak into the location easily, that won't arouse suspicion, something we make ourselves," Veronica said.

"I know how to create a smoke bomb that's odorless and not harmful towards anyone," I told Veronica.

"How many can you make and how fast can you make them?" Veronica asked me.

"As much as we need. With some assistance, I can make them quick," I tell her.

"We'll help you out," Kevin said as Reggie and Josie nodded their heads. As much as I hated Josie, I wanted Archie out as soon as possible.

"As for the getaway route,I want you positioned for the pickup here, Bee," Veronica explained to Betty as she showed her the route on the map in front of them. "If you stick to the woods, their cars shouldn't be able to follow you."

"Just in case, might I suggest we put another precaution in place," Betty said.

"Am I late?" I heard. I turned over to see Beckham standing there.

"Beckham? What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Veronica asked me to help out on something. She said it was a risk taker but she mentioned that you were going to be involved and I wanted to make sure that you didn't get into too much trouble," Beckham said.

"You told Beckham?" I asked Veronica.

"He can ride a motorcycle and he can help us on this, Adeline. Trust me," Veronica said. It was hard to tell Veronica that I trusted her. Especially with Archie's life in our hands.

"Alright," I nodded.

The next day, our plan was put into action. I was with Betty and Beckham as we got ready.

"Are you ready to see Archie again?" Betty asked me.

"Of course," I told her.

"Adeline, how come you never told me your brother was in juvie?" Beckham asked me.

"I thought you knew. It was over the news and paper," I told him.

"I assumed you both were strangers who just looked alike. It happens," Beckham told me.

"Guys, lets go," Betty said. I turned before we quickly hurried over.

We quickly messed up with some of the wires on some cars with Betty before running over to the grate.

"Betty, Adeline, thank God," Kevin said as soon as he saw us.

"Kev, why isn't the grate opened?" Betty asked him.

"There's a lock we didn't know about," Kevin told us. Betty let out a sigh before getting out a bobby pin and started to pick at it.

"But look, Joaquin was just here, and I have to go after him," Kevin told us.
