Forty Six

Adeline's P.O.V

I woke up in a bed. I looked around to see that the place looked familiar. I saw an outfit in front of me. I got up and walked over to it.

Adeline.

Please wear this outfit for your savior to arrive. You will be escorted out to where you will be saved. Hopefully.

I didn't like the hopefully part. The outfit was a white dress with white wings. I put on the outfit before opening the door. I saw some lady there with a gun.

"You will walk in front of me and I will guide you to where you need to be," the woman said. I nodded before walking forward. The woman held the gun behind me as I walked to the woods.

After walking sometime, I saw some lighted fighting ring making me stare in shock. I felt uncomfortable as I saw some man in bear skin paced around.

"Sit on the boulder," the woman said. I sat on the boulder in the middle before she tied me up.

"Your savior will be here soon," the woman told me before leaving me alone.

"You're going to leave me with him? What the hell!" I said. The man in bear skin growled at me making me hiss at him.

"You look fucking stupid," I tell the man.

Archie's P.O.V

"It's a Red Paladin card. Archie, this question's for you," Jughead said as he handed me a scroll. I opened it up and read it out loud.

"The Red Paladin must conquer the grizzled beast to save the fallen angel. He must battle alone in the Pit to save his home."

"What is a grizzled beast?"

"Most importantly who's the fallen angel?" Betty asked worriedly. We all heard loud roaring in the distance making me sigh.

"Oh, crap. Not again."

We walked over to an open area where there was a fire in the middle. I was shock at the person who was sitting on the boulder tied up.

"Adeline?" I asked in shocked.

"Archie?" Adeline asked. Adeline was in a dress that made her look like an angel. She looked scared and helpless as she sat on the boulder.

"Oh my god," Betty said in shock.

"Archie, help me," Adeline said.

"It's going to be okay, Adeline," I said as I started to take off most of my suit.

"Archie. Don't do this. That guy is eight feet tall and jacked," Veronica protested.

"I have to. Adeline's in trouble and I can't have my little sister get hurt because of me. Not again," I told her.

"But you just got out of a fight."

"It's just another fight. I've been fighting all year. Don't forget, I survived a real bear attack, remember? If I don't make it, tell my mom and dad I love them. And you guys. Make sure Adeline survives at least," I said before walking down.

Adeline's P.O.V

I hated to see Archie fight. I also started to get use to him fighting. Honestly, it was getting boring to watching him fight other people now. Thankfully, he won. I sighed in relief when he came over and untied me.

"What the hell happened to you?" Archie asked.

"I got kidnapped by both the Gargoyle King and the Black Hood. I tried to escape but I couldn't. What the hell is going on?" I asked.

"Mrs. Blossom is making us do tasks so our parents can know what it's like to loose a child," Jughead said.

"I'm leaving this town for good now," I said.

"Come on," Archie said. He held my hand before we started to head off.

"Are you okay?" I asked my older brother.

"Yeah. I'm fine," Archie said.

"We gotta keep moving. Penelope has already left us more clues. Come on," Jughead said before leading the way.
