Adeline's P.O.V
"Adeline, I want you to be honest with me," Dad told me as I sat across from him.
"What dad?" I asked.
"Are you playing the game?" He asked me.
"No. I don't plan on it too," I explain to him.
"Good," Dad said.
"Dad, what are you not telling me?" I asked him.
"Adeline, I did a lot for you and Archie to have a good future. And to be honest, I feel like you're going to have the bright future that your mother and I dreamed of for the two of you. I know Archie will have a future but he's going to face a lot of troubles for all the stuff that he did," Dad told me.
"Did the game cause someone to die?" I asked him.
"I honestly don't know but I do need you to promise me to not play the game," Dad told me.
"I promise I won't play the game," I tell him.
"And please be safe, Adeline. This use to be a safe town but clearly now, it's not," Dad told me.
"I know," I nodded before walking up to my room.
I heard my phone ring making me quickly walk over to it. I saw Kevin's ID making me confused. He was on Archie duty.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Adeline. I needed to let you know that Archie's wound was almost infected and I had to take him to a doctor that Betty knows," Kevin tells me.
"Is he alright now?" I asked him.
"Yes. He's getting patched up right now as we speak," Kevin tells me.
"Thanks for keeping me updated, Kev," I said.
"No problem. I'll call you if something else happens," Kevin tells me.
"Thanks," I said before hanging up my phone.
I grabbed my jacket before rushing over to Beckham's house. I knocked on his door making him open it.
"Adeline?" He asked me.
"Do you wanna hang out?" I asked him.
"Adeline, did you run here?" Beckham asked me.
"Yeah why?" I asked.
"You look dehydrated. Come on," Beckham said. I sat in his grandmother's kitchen as he handed me a glass of water.
"Thank you," I said before taking a sip of water.
"What's going on?" Beckham asked me.
"We need to stay outside because Archie is out of the bunker and I have a bad feeling about all this," I tell him.
"I'll grab my motorcycle if you want," Beckham told me.
"Yes please," I nodded.
Beckham grabbed his helmets before handing me a leather jacket. I gave him a confused look.
"It stops you from rolling if we accidentally crash," Beckham told me. I nodded before putting it on.
My phone buzzed making me take out my phone from my purse. I looked at the caller ID to see my house calling me.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Adeline. Do you know about Archie escaping?" Dad asked me.
"Dad. Please understand that I did that to keep you and Archie safe," I tell him.
"I know sweetie. Look, come home and stay there. I will try to find Archie with Mr. Keller," Dad told me.
"I can help you dad," I tell him.
"I know but I don't want to loose you too," Dad tells me.
"Okay. Beckham will be with me for protection," I said.
"Good. Just come home and stay here until further notice," Dad tells me.
"I will," I nodded. I hung up before looking over at Beckham.
"We need to go to my house," I tell him.
"Let's go," Beckham told me.
