Adeline's P.O.V

When I got to school in the morning, there was something unusual in my locker. I pulled it out to see a manual for a game called, Gryphons and Gargoyles. I felt sudden chills for some odd reason when I touched it. I looked around to see everyone else with the same manual. I shoved it into my backpack before putting the books I didn't need yet into my locker.

"Hey, Adeline. Did you get this?" I turned around to see Beckham with the manual.

"Yeah but I put it into my backpack," I tell him.

"This looks weird and hella geeky. Like, 80's dungeons and dragons geeky. I mean, I like Marvel and DC but this is just too much," Beckham told me.

"I get you," I nodded.

"Are you going to play the game? Cause if you want, we can play together. I wouldn't mind," Beckham said.

"Maybe but I got a lot of school work and student body President stuff to do," I tell him.

"Okay. When you're available, let's play?" Beckham asked me.

"Maybe. I'm not sure if I have time though," I tell him.

"Adeline!" I heard. I turned to see Jughead and Betty rush over to me.

"What's up guys?" I asked.

"Did you get a manual script for a game called Gryphons and Gargoyles?" Jughead asked me.

"Yeah. Seems like everyone has one," I tell him.

"You can't play the game," Betty said.

"Woah, why not?" Beckham asked.

"Something about this game is sketched. Just please don't play the game," Betty said.

"Okay? Well, I'm too busy with school work and student body stuff anyway," I tell them. I looked through my backpack before giving them my copy of the manual script.

"So how come we can't play the game?" Beckham asked.

"Long story," Jughead said.

"Well I hope you guys can tell me later," I said.

"Okay. Thanks for the manual," Jughead said before the two left.

"Who were they?" Beckham asked me.

"My brother's best friends who happen to be my friends. So I guess my friends," I tell him.

"Okay. Well, can I walk you to your class?" Beckham asked me.

"Sure," I smiled.
