Adeline's P.O.V

Archie and Mad Dog was accused of giving the drugs to Randy, the other fighter. I wasn't surprised at the accusation. Beckham's family left and I was lucky to had said bye to them before they left.

There is one thing I hated more than the drama in Riverdale. Needles. I hated the pain and how sharp they are. Today, I had to get my meningitis vaccination which sucked.

"I don't want to do this," I tell Betty.

"Adeline, it's going to be okay. It's just a little vaccination and then you're done," Betty assured to me. Betty knew about how much I hated needles.

"Evelyn, have you already received your meningitis vaccination?" I heard the nurse asked. Betty and I looked over at the two.

"No. The Farm doesn't believe in putting foreign substances into our bodies. You can check my file. My father wrote Mr. Weatherbee a letter opting me out of all elective medical procedures," Evelyn explained. I looked over at Betty once Evelyn walked away.

"I know that look," I tell her.

"'Check my file.' I think I just might. Adeline, can you help me?" Betty asked.

"Only if you  hold my hand during the vaccination," I tell her.

"Alright."

It became a stormy night when Betty and I waited for everyone to leave. It was creepy and cliche. I unlocked the doors before opening Principal Weatherbee's office. I looked for Evelyn's file before handing it to Betty. Betty looked through the file before taking pictures of it.

"Transferred from St. Joseph Prep..."

"Let's just hurry up and go already," I tell Betty.

"Okay," Betty said.

Once she was done, I put the file away before we both left the room. I quickly locked up the door before we went to the newspaper room.

"So now what?" I asked Betty.

"We call every single school that Evelyn has been too. Especially Beckham's," Betty explained to me.

"Alright. Give me some schools," I tell her.

After calling the schools that Betty gave me, they all told me that Evelyn was a junior in their schools.

"Evelyn kept repeating junior year in every school she's been to. Now what?" I asked Betty.

"I'll call a social worker that I know. For now, go home and get some rest," Betty told me.

"Good luck, Betty. Let me know if you need any more help," I tell her.

The next day, I had to help Archie with cleaning up his gym.

"Slow day?" I heard. Archie and I looked over to see Elio with two other guys.

"What the hell are you doing here, Elio?" Archie asked.

"We have some unfinished business," Elio tells Archie.

"Also, let me remind you that we have the rights to kick your ass out of the gym whenever," I warned. Elio reached into his jacket before taking out an envelope.

"Fifty-thousand dollars, courtesy of the Gilded Gloves. Despite what happened to poor Randy, you did win. It's yours," Elio said.

"I don't want your blood-money," Archie told Elio.

"Don't be a fool, Archie. You went rounds in your first fight. You're a winner. I could take you all the way to Vegas. I'd call you the "Riverdale Reaper." People'll pay a lot of money to see you in the ring. After all, you're a killer now," Elio said. Archie walked up to Elio but his bodyguards stepped in.

"Three against one. Bad odds, even for you," Elio said. I quickly grabbed a bat that was near me before raising it up.

"Three against two actually. And you know what? You're really that much of a little bitch to have two bodyguards to protect you," I taunted.

"Your sister's got quite a mouth. Too bad I can't make her shut up my way," Elio said. I started walking up to him with my bat but Archie stopped me.

"Get the hell out of my gym," Archie said.

"Consider my offer, Reaper," Elio said.

"Let me have him!" I tell Archie.

"Adeline, no. Be smart about this," Archie tells me.

"Fine," I scoffed.

"Besides, I thought you hate violence," Archie said.

"Being stuck in this town has really been on my nerves."

"I know. Come on. I'll drop you off home,."
