He sat in his stone chair, looking out at the stars and the galaxies and the universe around him.

Soon, he would rule them all.

But it was not time, not yet. He had to wait for certain events to play out.

He needed the girl.

She was powerful, but not invincible. But there was more to it than that. It was her connection to the cosmos, to the outcome of who ruled the stars and all who lived among them.

And those insolent boys had messed up his plans. She was supposed to choose who lived, but instead they forced her to kill the unworthy fallen prince of Asgard. Then they had gotten themselves killed.

He didn't care who she would have chosen. He would have simply used them as her motive to do as he said.

He needed her.

He growled at someone who stood nearby, telling them to come forward. They knelt before him, ready to do his bidding.

"Go to Asgard. Hide in the shadows. When the time is right, bring me the child. Alive."

"Yes, my lord. May I ask what you plan to do with the child?"

He shooed the female away, angry at her for getting in his business and smiled to himself.

The child would be his, and would be heir to his legacy.
