(Anna)

I slowly got out of the bed, stretching my neck and walked over to the floor where my clothes had landed.

I heard Torren rustle behind me. "I can't wait for you to rule with me." He said softly.

I turned around to find him laying on his side, propping his head on his hand. "Okayyy." I said, giving him an odd look.

He jumped out of the bed and jogged over to me, grabbing me from behind, his hands wrapped around my waist. "You belong to me." He whispered in my ear.

"I sure do." I struggled out of his grip and turned around to pat him on the cheek. "I have to go. And so do you. You have a job to do."

I finished getting dressed and walked out of the room. Right before the doors shut behind me I looked back at Torren. I could have sworn there was a flash of green, bright and glowing, in his eyes.

It was probably just my imagination.

*************

"What's wrong with you. Turn that frown upside down." I said to By. He was stomping when he walked and had a permantent scowl on his face. "Is this because of Torren?"

He grunted.

"He is my fiance, you know."

Another grunt.

Suddenly, a high-pitched screa came from our left. By ran towards the sound, and I tried to catch up, gathering my skirts.

There was a young girl, maybe 16 or so running towards us, fear in her eyes. "What's wrong?" I asked her.

"Blood. There's blood in the gardens. Lot's of it. And there's- there's-"

"Spit it out." By growled.

"There's a heart."

She collapsed at my feet, breaking out into uncontrollable sobs.
