(Anna)

I couldn't even begin to express how happy I was.

I had forgotten for a moment that Loki had no idea he had a son.

And now he did.

And he was so happy. So happy to find that he had left something beautiful behind in this world. I could already see it in his eyes that he wanted to raise Leolin, really raise him. He wanted to raise his son to know love, and strength, and acceptance.

And that was all I could hope for.

*********

He held Leolin's hand tightly as we walked towards his room. They kept looking at each other, sharing the same smile. He would reach over and squeeze my wrist, almost as if he couldn't quite decide if this was real or not.

We went to Leolin's room and I watched them play. Loki couldn't be having more fun. He got on the ground, and played with his toys, tickled him, made him laugh, chased him around and even did a few simple magic tricks for him.

I couldn't stop smiling.

I tried to keep By off my mind. Of the way I had seen him look at Loki, with hate and jealousy.

That life was behind me now. Now, I had my family. That was all I needed.

***********

The three of us ate dinner together, all of us laughing and enjoying ourselves. Leolin was happier than I had seen him before, hell, we all were.

I tried to push back my worries about Leolin, how he had known that Mangog had possessed Torren and that he had known who his father was, all with never have been given any information to come to those conclusions.

Our son had parents who both had powerful abilities, so what was passed down to him?

I was worried to find out.

Loki ended up tucking Leolin into bed, happy to do the deed.

"Daddy?" Leolin asked. I was leaning against the door frame.

"Yes?" Loki asked as he pulled the covers up to Leolin's chin.

"Would you read me a story?"

"What kind of story?"

"I don't know. You favorite one." Leolin smiled up at his father.

"Hmm." He turned and smiled at me and then turned back to his son. "My favorite story is memorized, is that alright?" Loki asked.

Leolin nodded his head enthusiastically.

"Alright," Loki sat on the edge of the bed. "Once upon a time, there was a young, beautiful woman locked away in a castle....."

I closed my eyes and listened, falling to the ground, as Loki told Leolin our story as if it was a fairy tale.

***********

I opened my eyes when he was almost finished.

"...And then the King got to tuck in his son that he loved very much into bed for the first time. The end." Loki finished. Leolin had fallen asleep long ago with a slight smile stuck on his face.

Loki got up and blew out the candle, that was almost gone, out. He walked towards me slowly, careful not to step on anything.

"Come here." I told him, when he was close enough.

He looked at me shyly as I grabbed onto the from of his shirt and pulled him towards me.

My lips crashed wonderfully on his and I fell into his arms.

"I love you so much." I said between kisses.

I felt him smile, knowing that he still felt as if he were in a dream.
