(Loki)
If I had the strength, I would kill him.
But I didn't have the strength, so it would have to wait.
"So who blew it all up?" I asked again, trying to keep calm. Whoever was in here, they caused structure damage, but not any fatalities. But why?
Why?
Why blow something up but not go after any people? Why hide?
It didn't make any sense.
Everyone was thinking hard, trying to remember if they saw anything out of the ordinary. I knew we all felt like idiots for having overlooked this particular issue, me included.
"I haven't seen anything." A guard said. The rest shook their heads as well. By was preoccupied with his nose, touching it lightly, wincing. I smirked.
Anna had picked Leolin up, bouncing him lightly on her hip. She was a natural mother. As I looked at her, I noticed that she looked more like a woman than she had before. She was to the point where she wouldn't age as fast, her physical appearance unchanging for a long time, all because of her Asgardian blood.
Forever. That's how long we would be together. I couldn't wait. We would have a long, happy life together, no matter what was thrown our way. I would watch her become the best Queen Asgard has ever seen, and I would watch as Leolin would take my place on the throne, and marry a woman who was good for him. He would be a great King, one for the ages, one that no one ever doubted or hated. He wouldnt' be me. I'd make sure of it. Anna and I would love each other as much as we did now and we will never forget what we had gone through together. She would be my goddess, my love, and my wife. I couldn't wait to see her on our wedding day...
I shook my head, snapping out of it. Later, I told myself.
"Search the castle." I said sternly. The guards scurried away, swords at the ready. My voice was weak, I don't know what was wrong with me, but I felt like it was a bad sign. "Anna, leave Leolin with that." I pointed coldly at By. I didn't want Leolin out of my sights, but I absolutely didn't want to Leolin with us if Lady Maleah, my demon mother, was going to tell us a life-changing story. He was too young, and I had seen how By had taken care of him. He was like an uncle to the boy. But he wasn't his father, I was.
Anna looked at me, a shocked and incredulous look on her face. By was glaring at me. "I don't want him to meet mummy dearest, or hear whatever she has to tell us." I told her. Her face fell in submission and she put Leolin down. By took his hand, looking down fondly at my son. I pointed at By, my finger shaking as Anna walked over to me. "Oy!" He looked over at me, his eyes burning with fury, now that he knew I was, in fact, above him. "You take care of him. If I come back and there is a single scratch on him, you will pay with your life, I can sware to that." My voice was steady, and menacing. I scared myself, even, but I just got my family back. I wasn't going to lose them now.
By bowed mockingly, making my nostrils flare as his hair fell over in front of him. He stood back up slowly, his face flat. He may be a prick, but I knew he would take care of my son, because of his own affections for him and the way he held his hand tighter, afraid to let go.
I bit my tongue from cursing at him, and turned to Anna. "Let's go visit our wonderful mothers, shall we?"
