(Anna)

I fell asleep in Loki's bed, and was awoken by Leolin jumping on the mattress to cuddle with me, nestling himself close to my body.

"Again, Mommy?"

"Yes, darling. Again."

"I wish I could have seen him."

My heart was breaking.

"Me too, sweetie. Me too."

*********

We woke up, the morning sun streaming through the window. I carried a sleepy Leolin out of the room, and headed to put him to his bed, letting him sleep for a little while longer.

When I reached his room and tucked him in, I heard a familiar voice behind me. "I was wondering where you had gone."

I turned around to see By leaning in the doorway. "Yea. Sorry. Torren and I kind of got into a fight." I pushed my hair back.

He waited for me to step out of the room with him before speaking. "I see. Thor is waiting for you in the throne room, my lady." He bowed slightly.

"Thor? I thought he had business on Midgard?"

"As did I. But none the less, he is here."

I pushed past By and headed towards the throne room.

Thor was standing there patiently, talking and laughing with Torren. He turned when he heard my footsteps.

"Is everything alright?" I asked him, worried.

"Yes. Everything's fine. There just wasn't anything else I could do at the moment." He came to hug me, and I hugged him back greatfully. He was family. He was my brother.

I looked up at him. "So, now quit lying to me and tell me why you're really here." I had grown to know him, and I was very perceptive. Something was off.

He looked shocked, and then defeated. "An old enemy has arisen. I do not know how, and I am not even sure he is in the same form that he used to be. He's dangerous and ancient. Before, the only thing he wanted was to take over Asgard."

"What's up with people being so obssessed with taking over this kingdom?" It was a reoccuring event.

Torren spoke up. "Not only does Asgard have never ending resources, but it is also the stong hold of magic. Great and powerful magic. It's valued and it coveted."

"I am worried he will come back for Asgard, and you would be the first one he would kill, being the Queen." Thor said.

"Why are you all always trying to protect me?" I knew where people protecting me got them. It got them dead. And I was sick of people dying for me. I could defend myself, and if I failed, then it would be my own fault. End of story.

"You are powerful, Anna. But your, nor anyone else's powers, can even compare to that of Mangog. He's ancient, and with that comes raw power." Torren said, his eyes pleading.

"That's a terrible name." I said, unable to help it. If I could pick any menacing name, Mangog would not be anywhere near the top.

Torren rolled his eyes, and Thor laughed. "We just need to be careful. We need to be ready." Thor said.

Suddenly, there was a loud crash. I spun quickly, to see three guards rush in through the slowly opening doors. "Your Majesty!" the one in the front yelled.

"What's happened?" My mind was running through the worst possibilties.

"Someone broke into the weapons vault. But we caught him and he is currently in custody."

The weapons vault was extemely hard to get into. It was hard for me to even enter. Every precaution had been made to keep the weapons that were held there safe. And this guy just walks in?

"What? How in the world did he even get near the place?" Thor and Torren looked as worried and scared as I did.

"No idea, your highness. But he says his name is Star-Lord."
