(Anna)
No.
No. This couldn't be happening.
Not after everything.
My son was before me. But he was not my 5 year old little boy. No. He was a full grown man.
But it made sense.
Talia was a full grown woman. So why wouldn't he be all grown up too?
But how?
That was the million dollar question.
God. He looked so much like his father.
But there was a look in his eyes. A look no mother wanted to see in her little boy.
Hate.
My heart was exploding. It was beating to fast and bursting into a billion little pieces.
He hated me.
Because, in his world, I hadn't been gone for two weeks. I'd been gone for two decades.
In his mind, he had been abandoned.
And he hated me for it.
He was so tall. And I could tell he was strong. He had been trained. And probably well.
I probably didn't stand a chance against him.
Because I could easily tell by his stance and the twitch of his fingers, that he was ready to pounce.
But he had been trained by Thanos and his goons. A group of people who specialized and making weapons and assassins out of people.
I had never had that kind of combat training. Sure, Loki had shown me some stuff years ago. But we didn't have a chance to get into the hand on hand stuff. I knew how to use my powers.
Powers.
Shit.
Leolin had had powers. Mind powers of some sort. We had never had a chance to really figure them out. I knew how much my own powers had grown since I had learned of them.
I was terrified to learn how much his had grown.
And, even when those powers of his were small, I knew they'd be powerful, dangerous. You could protect the body from an attack, but you were defenseless against an attack of the mind.
This entire ordeal was not going as planned.
And then, he finally whipped out the knife he had been itching to grab.
And he charged me with it.
And I let him.
