Even though it didn't show on his face, he was smiling.

"Be ready to retrieve them." He simply told the girl bowing at the foot of his throne. This next 24 hours must go exactly as planned. And if they didn't, then someone would lose their heads.

"Of course, Master." The woman said, standing up. A hood and long cloak hid her features and her head remained slightly bent forward. All you could see of her was her blue chin.

He tapped his fingers thoughtfully on the arm of the large throne. "You're sure they are prepared?" He asked her.

He ignored the tightening of her jaw before she spoke. "She knows the spell and is prepared for what will come."

"And my daughter?" He asked, knowing he didn't need to respond to her previous answer.

"Which one?" She growled.

He leaned forward and studied the girl before him. "Jealous, are we?" He stood and she took a step back, fear setting in. "Jealous that Talia has accomplished bigger and greater things than you?" He hissed.

"I could have done the same! If only you had given me the chance!" She yelled, angry. He hood fell back, and her eyes were wide with fury.

"I did give you the chance! And you blew it!" He bellowed. The very island of rock they floated on quaked, and the girl nearly lost her balance.

The girl righted herself and calmed her breathing, refusing to look her King in the eye and grinding her teeth together.

He slowly sat back down. "That's what I thought." He growled. "Now, answer my question."

"She's fine." The girl retorted shortly. But then she coughed, realizing that might be a mistake. "The King is dead and the Frost Giants have accepted her as their Queen. Extermination and habitation will take place after Asgard's insects have been dealt with. Her and Leolin are currently on their way here."

"Good." He sat back in his chair. "You understand the plan, once everyone is gathered?"

"Indeed." She bowed her head and put her hood back up. She turned to leave, understanding her dismissal.

"Oh. And daughter of mine.." he called to her.

She froze. He very rarely admitted any familial relation to her these days. "Yes, Father?" She nearly choked on the word, it had been so long since shed said it.

"Don't mess this up. Or you're finished." He said, staring at her.

His gaze bore into her, even though he couldn't see her eyes and she swallowed hard, though she tried to show her terror.

She simply nodded her head and tinted back to leave.

And then she jumped, right off the edge of the large floating rock and into the void.

A force pulled her down until she disappeared into a wormhole that would take her to where the Asgardian trio would be waiting.

She was not going to let anyone screw this up for her. Not this time.

She'd kill anyone who got in her way.

And she secretly hoped one of those people would be her Frost Giant Queen of a sister.
