"So what do we do?" I asked Thor later that night.

He opened his mouth but then stopped, gesturing his head towards something behind me. I turned to see By walking towards us.

I waited until he stood in front of me before I spoke. "Where the hell were you?"

He looked at me, confused.

"You were supposed to keep an eye on Torren." Thor said accusingly.

"I was. I stayed in the shadows."

He was lying.

I knew him well enough to know that much.

What was going on with everyone? My world was, yet again, crashing down around me. I could no longer trust anyone.

I looked back at Thor, who kept his face blank.

"What?" By asked, suspicious.

"It's Mangog." I said, changing the subject.

He looked angry more than shocked. "You're joking."

I shook my head.

"Shit." he said.

"Any ideas how to get rid of him?" I asked. Thor was scowling at By.

By rubbed his eyes. "Not at the moment." He looked at me. "What are you going to do?" I was engaged to an ancient being who had possessed the body of my fiance.

Life was great.

I put my face in my hands. "No idea."

"Tell him that you don't wish to spend tonight with him." said Thor.

"Won't he suspect something?" By asked, possessive.

"Hey!" I put my hands in between them, feeling a fight coming on. I turned to By. "Get a sleeping potion from the physician. It should knock him out. He's not used to this body, it's probably weak compared to what he's used to." By backed away slowly, glaring at Thor.

When he was gone, I turned back to my brother. "I don't like him." he said.

"You don't have to."

"There's something about him. Something not right."

"Add it to the list."
