(Anna)
I felt like something was off about Loki.
As if he had suddenly forgotten why he had walked out of the room.
I eyed him for a moment before heading into the dark room alone with Amora. I had already threatened her twice, and I had a good feeling this was about to be the third. And if that was so, there was a good chance that By would never get to have his one-on-one with the Enchantress.
I wonder if she chose her name or if others eventually became calling her that.
The name held a magical tune to it, but it also held the warning not to trust her, because we all know that magic comes at a price.
And it isn't a cheap one.
I walk into the room and shut the door behind me quietly, and slowly turn around.
Amora has her back turned towards me. She is standing before the fireplace and I notice that she has changed clothes.
Her dress is black, long and flowing. It resembles the Asgardian night sky, full of stars and light. She turns around and I notice that her fiery hair has been swept back into a high ponytail. I can see the dress better now, and notice that it covers most of her skin, with a high neckline and long sleeves. It fits her body and all her curves perfectly. Her nails on her hands and feet are painted a deep black and her make-up is bold and thick to go with her outfit.
She eyes me carefully, taking my own self in. She has noticed that I too changed clothes. I needed something else on and decided to change while Loki had been having his meeting with her.
I was now wearing a more Midgardian outfit. I had on tight-fitting black pants and combat boots, both perfect for running. I had on a blood-red wrap around my breasts. It covered my breasts, most of my upper chest, and ended about the middle of my abdomen. It was comfortable and kept me cool, as my shoulders and stomach were exposed. Over that I had on a sheer white shirt, the kind you see pirates wear in the movies, only much more see through. I wore it to give my outfit a bit more decency, but it hid nothing. My hair too, was swept back into a high ponytail, with small braids scattered throughout.
"At least you have a sense for fashion." Amora smirked, "Although I personally prefer dresses."
"Pants are easier to fight in." I retort, keeping my stance wide and my knees loose.
"Dresses do just fine if you really know how to fight." She winked and flicked her fingers, making the fire roar in anger for a moment, before it died down back to its previous state.
I glared at her for a moment and then clasped my hands in front of me. "What is it you want to speak to me alone about?" I ask. I didn't want to spend forever in here.
She walks towards me, slowly, and begins to speak in a soft but strong voice, "I wanted to speak to you alone to let you know that you are being lied to." She paused as I gave her a confused look. "From woman to woman, I thought you should know." She looked at me with sad eyes and then broke my gaze, her shoulders folding in on themselves. She had lost her confidence.
"Lied to?" I asked. "By whom?"
She shook her head slightly and looked at me again, pity etched in her face. "I am giving you a choice, Anna. Do you really want to know the truth?" She played with the sleeve of her dress. "Because sometimes the truth can hurt more than a lie."
I studied her for a moment, not sure how to take this vulnerable Amora in. "I'm tough. And I'd rather know the truth. Always."
Amora nodded her head slightly and took a deep breath. "It's about Loki." She said, cautiously.
