"I want you to stay and I mean it."
"I personally thought that the one youre going to introduce to us today was Tiffany." Taeyeon choked on her wine as her father voiced out his thoughts.
"Papa.." Taeyeon whined as soon as she recovered.
"What? I was just saying."
"How can you say such things when Jan is just right in front of you.." She added before wiping her lips with a tissue.
"Its okay Tae, if I were your dad I wouldve said the same thing."
"I know but you dont have to hear that. Im sorry." Taeyeon reached out for her girlfriend's hand and squeezed it.
"Forgive your Uncle Kim honey, he's old." Taeyeon's mom said, Jan smiled sweetly and they continued eating.
It was today that Taeyeon had decided to take her girlfriend to a tour to her old house in Jeonju where her Mom and Dad welcomed them with open arms. Days ago, Taeyeon had phoned her parents telling them about her real sexuality and fortunately, her parents have already concluded it way before Taeyeon joined her group and have accepted it even way before Taeyeon had realized that she's gay herself. It was something the famous kid leader never expected, that her parents wont even give her a hard time with all the homosexuality and girlfriend thing, she was actually ready to have a handful of curses, yells and hurtful words but ofcourse, theyre her parents and even though theyre really mad, they never shout nor curse in front of her and her brother.
"When I said bring someone home, I was actually referring to a he, but a she works too." Taeyeon's dad said as his wife refilled his drink.
"Well, I did told you that were raising two sons.."
"And I never really believed your mom but when I saw how fascinated you were with cars, right there and then, i knew youre my junior."
"Mama, dont give Papa a lot of soju. He tends to be talkative when he's dunk." Taeyeon worriedly said. They were now just hanging around the living room waiting for Taeyeon's brother Jiwoong whom they sent out to buy more soju in a 24 hour store not far from their house. Its already close to midnight and the whole days was spent with stories being shared, questions being asked and a lot more baby photos being showed and most of them were Taeyeon's naked baby pictures.
"Why? Youre afraid I'd say something embarrassing to your girlfriend?" Taeyeon's dad said, pointing his shot glass at her. She only chuckled while shaking her head. "By the way Jan, did my Taeyeon gave you a cactus?'
"Papa.." The rest of Taeyeon's words came out mumbled when her dad covered her mouth with his hand. "Ohh didnt she told you about that time when she gave a girl she likes a cactus plant?" Taeyeon's dad continued, enthusiasm was evident in his voice and his eyes were shining with amusement.
"Papa, I was young that time okay? She's a sunbae that I respected so much.." Taeyeon crossed her arms and pouted as she rest her back on the sofa.
"You didnt gave me any flowers Tae, Im hurt." Jan pretended to be in pain, clenching her shirt over her shirt before she was joined by Taeyeon's parents in laughter.
"Fine, fine, I'll get you every flower we see in the street, happy now?" Taeyeon rolled her eyes when her girlfriend nodded but internally she was happy to be this comfortable around her parents with her girlfriend there. She was extremely nervous when they were still on the road earlier but as soon as she saw her parents smiling faces and in good welcoming aura, she knew that introducing Jan to them was a good move. Although she was disappointed that Jan parents couldnt come cause they had to go back to Thailand last night but she knew when she told Jan's dad that she's going to introduce Jan to her dad that his first impression of her changed a bit and she's going to change in more as time passes by, slowly but surely.
