Although you already knew where the arena was, you still had Nico escort you there. You two were just chilling until when you felt the air changed. Nico must of felt it too, you felt him tensed.

"Mind if I join?" A voice asked behind you. You knew who it was before you turned around.

There stood David with a strange look on his face, the face he made when he became protective of something, from his potato chips to his best friends. The look he was making made you feel uneasy, why?

"Sure, Nico is just going to help me find a weapon I can use other than my bow an arrow." You noticed his face flinched when you said Nico's name. 'Ugh! What is it with him and me hanging around other guys, was it wrong for me to have other friends?!' You thought bitterly to yourself.

Your face must have betrayed you because David quickly changed his expression. He then said with a smirk "I don't think a sword like mine won't do you any good. So let's see if there's a weapon swift enough for ya."

"Let's see if your right Write."

"Bring it on!" He said with a wide grin spreading across his face.

"What do you think Nico?" You say trying to bring him into the conversation. You notice that he was still tensed up, almost like he's slipping back behind an invisible shell. You felt bad for him. You also just realized that he was just opening up to you when they were alone, weird. You pushed the thought aside when he said he has something in mind. So you and David followed him towards the weapon shed.

When you opened the door you found weapons galore! Everything from swords and knifes to spears and archery equipment. There was some armory in there too. You immediately head towards the knifes. You heard Nico murmur behind you a soft  "I thought so."

You lifted your hand to each blade, being careful not to cut yourself on the blades. But one particular blade caught your eye.

You lifted the knife off the shelf and whispered "This is the one." As you picked it up you felt as if you were glowing with pride, bravery, and almost even joy.

It was a fairly impressive blade, one half looked bronze while the other looked gold. It's hilt seemed to fit into your hand perfectly, as if it was made to be held by you. After admiring your weapon you looked at your friends faces, Nico looked dumbfounded as if being struck by lightning. You decided to bring noise to the silence.

"Anything wrong?" You asked. You noticed David was scanning you head to toe, you look down at yourself and realized you were literally glowing.

"What is happening?!"  You shrieked. Nico, hearing your voice, shooked his head and started to explain...

"The knife has chosen you. It will be a blessing and a curse to you, at times it will give you strength during battles even. But it only chooses people who've been cursed, wrecked, or with a short life span. But I can sense your not near death yet, guess it found something in you and chose you to use it wisely. One half is Celestial bronze, and the other is Imperial gold. Be careful y/n, this weapon could help you or break you."

You continue to stare as You process what Nico has just explained. But all your mind could do was replay the seen when Olivandor told Harry 'The wand chooses the wizard Mr. Potter'. You finally managed to croak "Does..it have a name like Percy's sword and Piper's knife?" you asked.

"Yes it does.." he hesitated before saying "it's known as Moirai."

"Fate." You heard David breathed next to you. You examined it a little more before sheathing it and buckling it to your waist. 'What things will happen to me? Why did it choose me?' A thousand questions swormed your head but you decided to it it go, remembering that you still had a game of capture the flag to play.

"Let's go, hopefully I'm no longer a bioluminescent  demi-freak." You said with a smile. After some assurance from David and Nico that you were no longer glowing, you walked out together towards the woods to see who is on whose team.
