Dark Turns Darker (Chapter 16)

You, the seven, b/f/n, and David head back towards camp. You and everyone else assumed that Nico took the new camper to the Big House to talk to Chiron. So naturally, you were on your way there now. You noticed as your walking by a few of the Ares campers looking soaked and pissed. What happened? You wondered to yourself. Like all campers with a common sense, you avoided the soaked Ares campers. But eventually they caught sight of you guys and stormed up to you. You all braced yourself for a rampage. 

"Did you see what Nico and that other girl did to me?!" One is the campers said, he stepped forward. You assumed that he must be the 'leader' of this little group. 

"Nope. What happened?" You wondered out loud. 

The Ares camper, Josh is his name you recalled, somewhat glared at you before saying, "We came over to give the new camper a welcoming gift," you knew it must've been a prank, "and it backfired." He finished.

 He started to get into detail, probably because of the looks all of you were giving must have been  looks of confusion.

"We were going to give her a swirly," he admitted. Gee, what a nice guy. "And suddenly the toilet exploded! The weird part was one, she and Nico didn't even get wet and two, the room suddenly felt more...cold. We figured that it must have been Di Angelo." Josh then glanced at his buddies. "I guess the girl was trying to apologize, but Nico ran off with her." When he finished, he looked up at you. You were trying your best to keep a serous face and not burst into a fit of laughter.

"Do you know where they are now?" You asked, controlling yourself.

"Looks like they were heading towards the Big House. This ain't stopping me from getting them back though." He warned. You gave him your seriously look. You turned to your group. 

"Well then, let's continue on our way."

Everyone agreed and walked on. Questions were boiling in your head. How did the toilets explode? You wandered to yourself. Really? What type of question is that?! Oh well. Your conscience answered back. You looked over at everyone else. They seemed to be glancing at Percy, who was in deep thought. Why are they glancing at Jackson? You wandered. You decided to ask about that later.

Everyone was silent, the only ones who weren't glancing at Percy were b/f/n and David. You walked over to them, they were talking in hushed voices. B/f/n had a serious look on her face, but it quickly turned into one of her friendly smiles that she only gave David and you. 

"Oh hey y/n, we were just trying to figure out what the new girl's godly parent is, could you help us? I know you can, being blessed by Athena and all, your smart." David said. You don't know why, but you felt a little heat rush on your cheeks, but just enough for it to be noticed by b/f/n. She chuckled under her breath. "Sure." You replied, ignoring the look b/f/n was giving you. 

"So, is there a god of toilets or sewage?" David asks sarcastically. You gave a soft chuckle, "I don't think so David." You say playing along. He gave you a soft punch on the shoulder. 

After a few minutes of just taking with your friends, like before Camp Half Blood, you arrive at the Big House. Annabeth was the first to walk in, for Chiron was like family to her. You, being the last to come in, closed the door behind you. Chiron must of heard for he rolled into the room. He was in his wheelchair. 

"Hello my children, what brings you here?"

"We have a new camper." Annabeth replies. 

"Oh. Step forward my child, it's ok I won't bite." Chiron says with a welcoming smile.
