B/f/n didn't lower her blade. Her face was plastered with confidence and victory, as if she's been waiting for this moment to happen.

"Why? Why would you do this to us. After all we've been through..." your voice broke. The other five looked just as shocked and devastated.

"Why?" B/f/n repeated, a smirk growing, "you said it yourself. Look at what we all have been through. We wouldn't have had to go through all of those things if it weren't for our parents. They are gods for crying out load! Why do they have us do the dirty work for them! They don't care about us y/n, they just don't. My mother left me and my father to die, and not being there to help when he actually did. I've been foster home to foster home, wondering if my mom would ever come to get me, like my dad promised with his dying breath. Then I find out she's actually a goddess who's to busy living the luxurious life to care about the people who need her the most! Well, that all ends now, they will be wiped out, and a knew era will rise! Where we don't have to take orders from anyone who thinks that we can be thrown away like disposable cups!" As she ranted she circled you, knife still at neck level. As she spoke you could hear all the years of bitterness, pain, loneliness, and heartbreak laced in her voice.

She lowered her knife and grinned, a mad glint in her eye. "Join me y/n," she spoke, "when was Apollo there for you when you needed him most? When was he not to busy caring about himself to care about you, or his other abandoned children?  It's time show them how powerful we are, to knock them off their thrown and rise above them. So what do you say my friend?"

You looked her dead in the eyes, "Well...my friend...this is where we disagree. Yes the gods were never perfect parents, possibly the worst even, but what you don't see is what they are doing for you and me and everyone else. They give the world balance and harmony, they give us what know as our society today. If we take them down, we take are taking the world as we know it down as well. And if you think Kronos is going to let the human race live freely you're mistaken."

B/f/n momentarily looked defeated, but that was quickly replaced with anger. "Fine...if that's what you think. Well I'm gonna tear down and defeat anything that gets in my way, and unfortunately you are in my way. You've given me no choice y/n, so brace yourself."

With that she backed away, and suddenly the ground beneath your feet gave away as a huge hole opened, with the rest of your group falling in as well. You braced yourself to hit the solid floor, however you fell into another tube, which sent you sliding into an open space. Instead of you crashing onto the solid floor, you instead landed on something. Or someone.

Someone groaned in pain beneath you, you instantly recognized who it was.

"Sorry David." you apologized as you shifted your weight off of him and stood.

"Y/n? is that you?"

"Who else? Uh...how are we supposed to see?" you asked.

Suddenly the  cavern started to light up, you looked at yourself and sighed.

"This is not what I had in mind, but something is better than nothing I guess."
You were glowing again, and when you looked up you saw David smiling.

"What?" You asked miserably.

"Nothing Sunshine, you just really bring light to the darkness don't you?"

You rolled your eyes. Even when your best friend stabbed your back as well as everyone else's David somehow manages to make you happier.

"What would I do without you Spark Head?" Now it was David's turn to roll his eyes.

"How do we get out of here? And where is everyone else?"

You looked around, no one else was in the cavern with you. "I don't know, but we will find them and get out of here." You looked around again to find a tunnel leading to darkness, something told you that was going to be the only way you could go, so you said "I don't like this at all, but that tunnel is our only chance, follow me." So with that you drew your dagger and lead on into the darkness.

You guys walked for what seemed like forever in the darkness, with only your blades and you for light.

RRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You stopped in your tracks, and turned behind you from where the sound came from.

"It's him. We need to run. Now!" You panicked.

"Who?"

"The creature of the labyrinth." you reply, not daring to name the monster.

There was no need anyway for David knew who you were talking about, as he was suddenly dragging you as you guys ran through the dark tunnel.

The stench of the creature behind you was burning your nose. He was coming in close behind you. David suddenly halted, swinging you back from hitting the wall in front of you.

Dead end.

You looked at David, you couldn't let him get killed. You started to look around the room.

CRACK

You looked down at the floor beneath you, your eyes widened at the realization.

"what was that?" David fearfully asked.

"The ground can't support us. It will give away at any moment. I have a suspicion of where this goes, and I don't want to see it for myself."

You suddenly heard a snort, and you looked up to see the Minotaur standing in the entrance, blaring it's nostrils in triumph.

"David, when I say jump, leap as far to the entrance as you can."

He nodded, understanding the plan.

You turned to face the Minotaur, "Hey Beef Face! Have you ever heard of something called taking a shower? Cause you need one!"

The creature wailed in rage and took it's charge stance.

Time slowed, the Minotaur charged at you in slow motion, you glanced at David and screamed "Jump!"

The ground beneath you started to break away as David landed at the entrance. You jumped on top of the Minotaur, pushing him into the pit, and lept off, landing next to David as you watched the Minotaur fall into the darkness.

You guys stood there for a couple seconds, surprised you were alive. Your heart beating, you started to walk toward the hole to peak over the edge.

"Y/n!"

You turned to David, noticing a new cut on his lip, and a gash in his arm. His apple green eyes clouded in pain, his hair looked damp from blood.

"I need to see if it's gone."

"Ok, just be careful." David grimaced.

You got to the edge and looked down. There was no sign of the fallen beast, or a floor for that matter. Shudder ran down your spine as the possibility that you were looking down a bottomless pit crossed your mind.

'He's gone." you stated, somewhat relieved. David breathed out, "Ok, now let's get out of here."

You nodded and turned away from the pit. Suddenly the ledge beneath you gave away and you fell in.

A hand caught yours, leaving you dangling from the pit. You looked up at David, complete fear in your eyes, determination in his.

"Hold on! I got you!" He strained, trying to hoist you up. Suddenly the cavern shook, the pit widening even more sending David in as well.

As he fell David grabbed a mini ledge protruding out of the closest wall in the pit, leaving the both of you dangling.

"David."

He looked down at your tear streaked face. "You know what has to happen. This ledge won't hold the both of us up. Let me go."

"No!" He strained. The ledge started to crumble. You both watched in horror as the edge crumbled away, sending the two of you into the pit.

Falling, You held on to David and he held on to you. Putting your mouth next to his ear, not knowing if he could hear you but knowing that these could be your last words, you said "I love you."

Still glowing, you and David tumble boldly into the darkness.
