You Get Reinforcements (Chapter 46)

You guys continued your way down the dark, twisty tunnel, with you and Leo supporting Jaguar as she hobbled along. But as time went on, she slowly started to put weight on her foot. 

Soon she was walking on her own, and turning to you she says "Nice work on the walking boot, it's working great!"

"That's good to know, but be careful. I don't know how durable that boot is."

Jaguar shrugged, "Okay, hopefully we don't have to do any running anytime soon."

Just as she finished that sentence the tunnel started to shake, threatening to collapse at any second. Everyone looked at Jaguar.

"What?! I'm not making this one. And if you seriously think that I jinxed this to happen I swear..."  

She was caught when Leo suddenly picked her up, just as a huge chunk of the tunnel fell right where Jaguar was previously standing.

"Move," you told everyone, "RUN!!!!!!"

-Meanwhile-

At the beginning of the tunnel another blow was delivered to it's walls, causing the tunnel to violently tremble.

"Again." 

The cyclops nodded in agreement, finding entertainment in bashing the tunnel's wall.

The demigod however, wasn't having as much enthusiasm as the cyclops. 

Josh watched as yet another blow was delivered to the tunnel. He slightly flinched at the sound of contact. He couldn't help but to feel sorry about the six demigods in the tunnel, after all, they all had great powers and would've been really useful in taking down the gods. Oh well, life goes on and the gods are so going down.

-Back to the collapsing tunnel-

You guys bolted down the tunnel...well, with the exception of Jaguar who was being chair lifted by Leo and Zion. The tunnel behind you was collapsing, and it was quickly catching up with you guys.

Fortunately the space opened up again. Out of the tunnel, you guys watched it collapse. 

"Well that was close." Commented Jaguar who was once again on her feet.  

"Uh guys?...we're not alone." Zion squeaked.

You turned around to find that you guys were in a room full of monsters...in a cafeteria. Monsters were spread out sitting at tables, some were inline to receive their meal still. 

 The suddenly became very silent, with your group too scared to move and the monsters very confused. They looked at their slop filled plates, then at us.

One of them suddenly shouted "Let's get the better food!!!" while pointing at you guys. You gulped, drawing out your blade, not knowing how much use it will be.

Everyone started to back up towards the wall...or window, weapons drawn. 

"Any ideas?" whispered David, who was standing next to you.

"Fresh out of them." you admitted. 

David was about to reply when suddenly the window behind you shattered. Down swooped a beautiful black pegasus, followed by two others. You immediately recognized the riders.

"Who's next in line to get their butt whooped?" Percy asked from on top of Black Jack. 

On the other two pegasi was Nathen and Annabeth. 

Though it wasn't much, this was the best reinforcement you could ask for.

All the monsters looked stunned, as if they weren't sure if the new arrivals were eatable. 

"More food!!!" exclaimed a telkhine.

"Not this time, you should have just stuck with the special of the day." 

With that you guys lept into battle.
