I'm a What?! (Chapter 4)

As you and your friends are walking to your destination, you ask "How long have I been out?" B/f/n reply's "a few hours, not as long as I heard other people around here have been out. Some could be in a comma for weeks!" Before you could say anything you see the same blond haired girl talking to a what would look like a teacher in a wheelchair. When she looked up from their conversation, she headed over towards us. "Hi, I'm Annabeth Chase! We've been expecting you." She said this with a smile and indicated for us to walk with her towards the man in the wheelchair. Though when you were in his presence, you could tell that he wasn't your ordinary middle/high school teacher. You must have been staring at him for a long time because he chuckled, "ah yes, you can tell that I'm not as I appear to be. So I might as well show you, I'm getting a little cramped anyway." And with that he started getting out of the wheelchair, only you noticed that his lower half has more than two legs, with an additional tail. 

"You...you're a...a..centaur!" You exclaim in awe, eyes widened. Your friends behind you were still with shock. You could have sworn that Annabeth behind you let out a little chuckle. "Yes little one, I am a centaur! The name is Chiron, your camp director. The other one in charge here is Dionysus, just call him Mr. D though." With that he smiled. Behind you, David asks for you "What is this place? It's amazing!"

"Well, as you must know by now this place is called Camp Half Blood, as for what it is, it's a place where demigods can spend there summer or years in peace, away from monsters. You get to make friends, and train for quest that you will eventually get to go on." Ugh! There's that term again, demigod. "What exactly do you mean by the term demigod, I thought it meant half mortal half god," that sort of just came out of your mouth before you thought to ask it. "Yes dear child, that's exactly what it means. Hopefully by campfire time you will be claimed by your immortal parent."

Nobody spoke for a long time after that, you and your friends were speechless. The silence was broken by the sound of a horn in the distance. "Well, looks like it's time for lunch. Annabeth here will show you the way to our dining pavilion where we shall eat. Nice seeing you all and I hope you have a fun time here!"

And so with that, Annabeth showed us our way to lunch.
