You looked up and gasped at what you saw. There was a symbol...not a symbol, multiple symbols were spinning around a bigger symbol of a lyre.
"All hail y/f/n y/l/n, daughter of Apollo, blessed by Hestia, Athena, Aphrodite, Artimes, and Poseidon. Descendant of and blessed by K...Kronos!" Chiron said that last part hesitantly, with worry clear in his voice.
After a moment of dead silence, whispering among the crowd grew. You looked above your head again at the fading symbols, awestruck. But then the name Kronos hit you hard. Wasn't he the titan king that shredded his own father to bits at the request of his mother? You recalled that he was the lord of time and the father of the first olympians. You also heard about how he tried to rise to power again and how Percy and Camp Half Blood defeated him.
The campfire started rapidly changing colors, showing the mixed up emotions of the crowd.
No no no no NO!!! Your mind and heart screamed. You were just starting to get along with people and blend in, but nooo! You just had to get all of this attention then suddenly feel like an outcast again. What if people find out your darkest secrets? Well they already think your a freek now! Your anxiety started kicking in. Everyone one giving you an odd look. Even b/f/n and David, ouch that hurt! I can't take this anymore! Your anxiety screams. Your legs are put into action as you turned and sprinted to the gods know where. Running. Running.
Just like always, your conscience scolds you. You gave a mental sigh. You had to run. To keep them safe, safe from you. You couldn't let others bare your burden, you couldn't let anyone else get hurt, like before...
Stop it! You scolded yourself. You couldn't relive those thoughts, not now. You needed to find shelter. After running for a while you came to stop at a tree. You crumbled at it's roots and started bawling.
You just cried and cried until you couldn't anymore. You took a few shaky breaths and rolled into a ball. You steadied your breathing, listening to your own breath. It was calming. Soon you drifted into a deep sleep. Not giving a care if a monster of some sort would find you..
Ack! Another short chapter!!! So sorry, I'm just having a case of writers block. 🙁
