Must Find Them (Chapter 48)

At the moment you found yourself on the ground, everyone turned towards you in shock. After that one step you took forward, your knees gave out and you buckled and collapsed, scraping the ground on impact. Your arms, legs, and left hip burned. It was safe to assume that you scraped up those areas and that you had open wounds and were bleeding. 

David immediately leapt to your side and helped you roll onto your scrape-less right hip. Unfortunately, everything you packed prior was confiscated when you were imprisoned. 

Nathan appeared to your other side, reaching into his bag. He pulled out wound cleaner, bandages, wrapping, duck tape, and some ambrosia. 

You gave him an impressed look, one that David also shared. Nathan just shrugged. "You'll never know." Then he gestures to your wounded left side. Following his gaze, David sees your injuries and snatches the cleaning supplies and bandages without haste. As he prepared the wound cleaner on a cloth, he gave an apologetic look. 

"Brace yourself" 

He then proceeded to apply the cleaner on the wound. And to say it hurt like a b*tch would be an understatement. You squeezed your eyes shut and opened your mouth in a silent scream. It continued to sting after David had finished cleaning and wrapping up the wound. David looked at you with a visible wince as though he was feeling the pain with you, "I'm sorry" he says softly and offers his hand to you to squeeze, which you accepted. 

"I'm ok, we have to keep moving and find her. I can't leave without her." You started to get up, however your legs wobbled under your weight and threatened to collapse. After all that earlier stunt took a lot of strength from your body. You caught that David and Zion shared a glance, it seems they also couldn't just leave their friend behind either. 

"Don't worry, we'll get her back y/n" David promised. "No matter what." Added Zion determinedly, though you could tell deep down he was unsure if they could do this that he would give it his all. You nodded your head. 

"Let's get b/f/n back"....

Meanwhile....

Jaguar followed the remaining monsters down a corridor, slashing down as many as she could. She could no longer sense the others with her, which troubled her but it also gave her an advantage. Now that the monsters retreated deeper into the mountain, she could sense all the water that sits within the ground. Jaguar came to a stop and concentrated, pulling and pushing all the water ahead of her and the monsters. Then she willed the water to make a thick wall and she froze it to make a barrier so that the monsters had no where to run. A little further ahead she heard the monsters wail in alarm and fear. She walked towards them. 

Clank

Jaguar looked down to see what her foot accidentally kicked. It was a sword on of the monsters dropped. She picked it up. 

Swinging around her two swords, she looked upon the monsters menacingly. 

"So who's going to tell me where Kronos is? Or else I'll have you begging me to send you back to Tartarus". 

....

"Not you y/n" David firmly stated, his apple green eyes formed a serious stare into your confused  ones. You opened your mouth to protest but before you could say anything David addressed Nathan. "Take her back to the ship to heal and rest, please look after her and make sure she rests." 

"Wait a minute I-" David picked you up in the bridal lift and kissed your forehead, "you can't help b/f/n in this condition, please rest and you can catch up with us when you're recovered." He gave you a smile, then lifted you up on Nathan's pegasus, it seemed to whine in protest not wanting to bear the weight of two people but it quickly accepted its fate. 

The pegasus started to take off back towards ship and you turned back to look at everyone. Please stay safe. I'll be back soon. 

At the moment, all you could do is have faith in your friends. 

.....

Now, to get back to the others. Jaguar had successfully learned where Kronos and b/f/n were and how to get there. Unfortunately it took her a little while until only one monster remained. 

"Stay still and I'll make it quick." Jaguar readied her swords. However she was shocked when the  dracaena started to chuckle in a hiss-like laughter. "You fool, even though you managed to obtain the information from me, you'll never make it back to your friends to tell them." 

"What is that supposed to mean?!" Jaguar interrogated. However she was only met with more half-hiss-half-laughter. Having a bad feeling about this, she chops off the head with a quick swing of her sword and she turns back to sprint towards her friends.
