Hey guys, I decided to write a not so mini chapter.
I know what ya thinking, 'really, another author's note about your studying? And a mini story? Blah!' Welp, sorry to disappoint you but not this time.
Anyhoot, I would like to apologize to all of my readers who've been waiting patiently for my next chapter to come out. (Please don't kill me!) Life has been life so ya. Back to the topic, I'm not here to complain about how sucky life is. So I decided to write a pretty long chapter to make up for the lost time. Unfortunately it only made it take longer. (Xp)
But enough of that, let's get back to your adventure! L(")/
After all you've been through today, the least that the gods could do was give you a dreamless sleep. Not happening. And dreams for a demigod are never 'just a dream.' They can give you an inkling to the future, or make you relive the past, or give you warnings.
This time was weird.
Instead of dreaming the usual dream of the dark gaping hole, someone came to visit.
You were now standing in a forest, but it wasn't at Camp Half Blood. You turned around to see a beautiful land formation of a giant mountain, though it looked spliced in half with a jagged kitchen knife. You've never been here before, but you recognized that you were in Wyoming, you were standing before Devils Tower. Why here?
Suddenly you heard a familiar dark, cold, ancient laughter. This was enough to make anyone run for their life, but you stayed put. You knew who it was, which should've made it all the wiser to run.
"Show yourself!" You growled. Trying to sound as brave as possible, though your voice gave out at the end of your sentence.
Silence.
Suddenly you felt a familiar, dark, evil presence behind you. Your hand was on Moirai, ready for the worst.
Now you sensed the presence about a foot behind you. You spun around, your weapon unsheathed.
"Kronos." You greeted coldly.
Just looking at him made you feel queezy. Let's just say he wasn't exactly solid. He was basically a cloud of particles that would come together, but just as quickly would break apart. Because of this, it made you dizzy looking at him. But just to make it worse, his smell wasn't much better. Even though this is still a dream, you can smell his power, along with the stench of death.
"Have you made your decision?" He asked. It was hard to make out what he was saying with that heavy, ancient, deep accent. But you managed.
"Is that the whole reason you interrupted a good nights sleep?" You replied sassily. You probably should've kept your mouth shut, but you were seriously annoyed.
He only laughed. It was scary.
"I've come to make a deal with you, for a lord must be fair to his subjects." You couldn't speak.
He took your silence as a sign to continue. "If you do what I please, I will grant you safe passage and no harm will come to that David Write of yours." You have to admit, that was tempting, but it had to be a lie.
"If, however, you chose not to, there is someone else that will. So either way the job will be done. It's just up to you who does this. If you choose yes, meet me in this spot when you arrive."
"Why are you offering me this? This has to be a lie." You doubted that he would do this. He must be bluffing on the someone else case.
"Oh this isn't a lie. As for why, when was it the last time the Gods ever offered this to you? When was the last time Apollo ever visited physically? Do the gods really care about you? About your well being? No. They don't. But I do. Why bother saving the gods when they don't even care about you? Join me instead, together we can do extraordinary things. We will get rid of the gods once and for all, change the world for the better, and you can have a happy life with David." He persuaded.
