Adriana Lodge was born and raised in New York with the lodge family, her mother and father. Her parents were very wealthy. By were, I mean that they died in a plane crash when she was 12. She grew up speaking fluent Spanish to her parents and is now facing adulthood.
When her parents died in the crash, being the richest family in New York she was bombarded with questions by news reporters. The poor girl was frightened, so her mother's friend Miranda and (Elena's fathers name?) Gilbert took her in and they raised her as if she were their own. Adriana never called them Mom or dad but they were family in everything but blood.
Adrianna is now 23 years old, she works at the mystic falls Medical Department as a doctor, she doesn't really need the money. All of her parents money was now hers but she wanted something to achieve with her life and after years of school she finally did.
She knows of the supernatural. She knows of Klaus and how he took Stefan, Elena's boyfriend and how he killed her aunt Jenna, however she never met him. Now making her he legal guardian of Elena and Jeremy. Alaric was a huge help also.
