Part Six: McCree x Hanzo - Broken
Rating: MILD
Author's Note: This is probably the first pairing that inspired me to write about the relationships between characters. Regarding content, Hanzo is a broken man and is pushing Jesse further and further away... Will Hanzo take a risk and let the love of his life in his fragmented mind or is this the end?

'I'm leaving you Hanzo'
The words rang around the man's brain like a broken record. Hanzo felt numb and he shut down, refusing to speak about his emotions with the love of his life, Jesse McCree.
'Hanzo? Did you hear me?' Jesse pressed, reaching out and grabbing his arm.
He heard the rain crashing down outside, thunder and lightning crashing but the silence lingering between himself and Hanzo was louder.
'Yes, I did' Hanzo replied apathetically, crossing his arms and pulling away.
'I need some time' Jesse sighed, a sob forming in his throat. He tried keeping his composure, before turning and walking towards the bedroom they shared.
Jesse dragged his old raggedy suitcase out of their wardrobe and began filling it with his flannel shirts. He paused, as he remembered how much he begged Hanzo to move into his apartment and look after him.
Hanzo was a broken man; his dreams kept him up at night, haunting him in ways that Jesse would never know. Hanzo would never let him in and tell him about his past. No matter how hard Jesse tried, holding him close, reassuring him that he was there, Hanzo would pull away, insisting he needed to be alone.
Jesse closed the suitcase, sighing, as he began walking towards the front door. Hanzo was slumped against the wall, as the love of his life walked past him to leave. Jesse twisted the door handle, opening the door slightly.
'Jesse... Wait' Hanzo begged, before falling silent again.
'What is it Hanzo?' pausing at the door, to be ignored once more.
Jesse sighed, closing the door and dropping his suitcase before sitting down next to the distant man. He reached his hand out to take Hanzo's, slipping his fingers between his. Hanzo didn't flinch or appreciate Jesse's gesture. He was lost in his own world, staring into a void of darkness.
Jesse shook his head, standing up, picking up the suitcase and trying to leave once more. Hanzo felt a tear fall down his cheeks before jumping to his feet and grabbing Jesse's robotic hand.
'Don't leave' Hanzo begged before letting go, realising his pettiness, and turning away.
'Why shouldn't I?' Jesse sighed, noticing Hanzo had shut down as quickly as he had tried opening up.
A bolt of lightning struck the house, causing the two men to jump, shrouding them in darkness.
'Fuck' Jesse muttered, shaking his head, unable to see.
'Jesse, your lighter' Hanzo suggested, before the soft flame illuminated the small space between them.
'Can you help me find some candles?' Hanzo asked, his grey eyes looking up to meet Jesse's nonchalant gaze.
'Fine' he muttered before closing the slightly opened door behind him.
The two men wandered around their apartment before finding their way into the bathroom. Hanzo took a deep breath, remembering how Jesse had first kissed him there. He was trying to navigate his way into the bath after losing his arm, and Hanzo had decided to try and help him. Jesse didn't have a replacement arm yet but insisted that he'd be alright, and tried lowering himself into the bath before losing his grip and dropping in.
