I never thought I'd see the day where I'd have Gabriel Reyes, THE Gabriel Reyes, in my arms. I never thought I'd feel his touch, his hot breath against my skin, goosebumps running along my surface. I never thought I'd want his claws around my neck, choking me, making my lungs give out. I never thought I'd have him inside of me, making sure I couldn't escape him, as he bit down on my neck. I never thought I'd lust after someone so cold and sociopathic. I never thought in my life that I would ever find myself in a situation, so terrifying, so grim that I would react in the way that I did. However, destiny will always find a way to throw you off guard, just as Gabriel Reyes found me.

It was a beautiful, winter day and I was working a long shift as a sales consultant at a jewellery store. I was good at my job, recommending beautiful pieces for fair and quality prices. It was a busy time of year, and I had many customers to assist, as my manager had just left for lunch. I paused momentarily, bending down behind the counter and taking a sip of water before I heard the commotion.

'Everybody on the ground – NOW' the deep voice growled, firing his gun. I froze, hearing the young children sobbing, as their mothers tried hushing them, forcing them to the ground in an attempt to save their lives. I heard glasses smash, while the figure looted, picking out the most expensive and valuable designs. He didn't know I was there.

As the figure shoved the jewellery into the duffle bag, one young child began to cry louder. The man became impatient, walking over to the screaming boy and cocking his gun against his head. He didn't care for the mother who was screaming, begging for her son's life. I had to stop this.

'Let them all go' I said. The masked figure cocked his handgun before firing in my direction, just above my head. He had just missed. My ears rang, as I tried processing what had just happened. The figure made his way over to me, his pearl mask staring straight through me.

'Take me instead. Please let the hostages go' I pleaded, feeling brave, praying that he wouldn't hurt anyone.

'LEAVE' the man growled, his Spanish accent apparent. I finally worked out who was doing this.

The remaining customers scurried out the front door before the figure shadow stepped over and locked it behind them. He laughed menacingly, as he walked back towards me. I had accepted that I was going to die. I didn't fear him. I felt nothing but peace.

He reached towards my frail neck.

'Wait...' I asked before he could touch me. He paused, letting me speak.

'If you're going to kill me, I want to see your face' I begged, reaching towards his mask. The man paused before firing at the cameras around the store, ensuring they were broken and irreparable, concealing his identity.

I reached towards his mask, peeling it off his face. His black eyes piercing through into my soul. I dropped his mask, before stroking the scars along his face. He was so handsome. I nodded, staring at the figure, giving him permission to kill me.
