Chapter 22 - Bloody fist

Emma's pov

" The individuals in the room are currently the only ones to know about the existence to these three books. The early life of Grisha Yeager, titans and everything known of history and information about the world beyond the walls. They're the fruits of the efforts of the ten Survey Corps members with us today and the one hundred and ninety-one  members who are not. Their heroics deserve to be praised for millennia to come. A place to do just that, as well as to bury the fallen, will be established at a later date. " Chief Zackly had said, we handed in the information to the government . The books and everything we had found out. " But today I would like for us to sort out are current situation here in the presence of the queen, as well as for us to come away with common intentions. Survey Corps commander Hanije Zoe, what do you make of this situation? " I just wanted to go back and lay in my comfy bed, I was beyond exhausted. 

I glanced at Eren who sat beside me, he smiled slightly at me before turning back tot he now standing Hanije. " In exchange for the loss of many heroes, including Erwin Smith, We the Survey Corps were able to successfully retake Wall Maria, defeat the Colossal Titan and take its power. However we, as walled humanity continue to be in a dangerous situation. How lucky would we have been if those monsters we call titans were are only enemies, however the true identity of the enemies we face, civilization and if I must, well if I had to say then It'd be the world.  "

" According to these notes, we are the subjects of Ymir. A special race even within the country  known as Eldia who are capable of becoming titans. These subjects of Ymir once ruled the world, and could possible rule it again. That is why the world, attempts to eradicate us, the Subjects of Ymir. If the found titan falls into Marleys hands, they will no longer have any use for the Eldians inside the internment zone. Spelling the end for all Eldians whether on the island or continent. The only reason they've kept so many Eldians alive inside the internment area is because for each living Eldian, that's one more pure titan they can add to their military forces. Mr. Yeager completed his mission and took the founding titan from the king of the walls and entrusted it to his son Eren but the true power of the founding titan can only be used if it resides inside someone from the royal bloodline, however if the founding titan does reside inside anyone of the royal bloodline, they will be consumed by the thoughts of the 145th king leaving them with no choice but to take their own life. " My head was spinning, all of this just made my head hurt even more, and not just because of the concussion I seemed to get but hasn't fully healed. 

Time skip

" I know, that you desperately wanted to revive Commander Erwin. " Armin was having a slightly heated conversation with Floch, he was sill mad Erwin wasn't picked. " But I wasn't the only one, it's all of us, it's what everyone thought reading the report. They wondered why it wasn't Erwin." All the government officials were whispering among themselves, holding the newspaper that we made about the battle and what we had achieved. " C'mon tell me, what do you know about Armin huh! " I backed up from the conversation, Eren and Floch were arguing badly. " Do you know why Armin was picked, because you three and Captain Levi, allowed your personal feelings to get the better of you. You took the injection for yourselves and made an irrational decision. In other words you couldn't throw away what was important to you right? " I stood back, he was blaming us for all of this, how bad did that make me feel?

" It's fine Eren let's go. " Mikasa put her hand on Eren's shoulder, hopping to take him away from the heated argument. " At least you acted like more of an adult there, Mikasa. You almost killed Captain Levi, you pushed your sister off a house and knocked her out. " I gritted my teeth, stepped forward before letting my fist collide with Floch's face. Everyone in the room stood and stared with a gaped mouth, Floch's body fell down to the ground with a loud thud. Did I feel sorry? Not one bit. " What's going on here? " Hanije and Levi suddenly entered the room, I breathed out and looked down at Floch. I stared at him before shaking my head and walking past the Survey Corps. " Nothing important. " The punch I gave him was rather hard, it made my own fist hurt. I glanced down at my now bleeding fist as my feet took me to the nearest  infirmary. I entered the small infirmary, quickly getting some gauze and rapping my bloody fist. After that was finished I sat in the windowsill of the room, staring off into the town. I knew the ceremony was going on, I missed it for sure. Who would even care, why do we even deserve a medal when all we did was screw up almost the whole mission. I lay'd my pounding head against the wood with me knees sat up to my chest.

The quietness of the room started getting to me, it made me feel relaxed. Finally after the battle I was aloud to rest. It was around 10 to 15 minutes before someone entered the room. It was Levi, his usual frown was sill on his face but now the medal we were suppose to receive was held in his palm. " Tch you missed the ceremony. " I popped out my lips and shrugged, my eyes then went back to the outside. " Why didn't you come to the ceremony? " He motioned me over to the bed where he sat, I pouted before scuttling over and sitting down. " I didn't feel like getting a medal I didn't deserve. "
