Chapter 10 - Reiner and Bertholdt

Emma's pov 

" Once we repair wall Maria , we'll go to the basement. " Eren held out the key with all seriousness buried in his voice. " Ah , were almost to Ehrmich District. " Hanije muttered , we all glanced to the upcoming town before Levi spoke. " I'll catch up with you guys later , this is it for the minister and me. I'm counting on you. Erwin has decided all of you will make up an improvised team , Understand Armin? Just keeping wracking your brain together with Hanije. " I completely forgot he wasn't coming with us , I'm so stupid. I didn't notice he didn't have his uniform on and his 3DM. " Mikasa use all your skills to protect Eren and Emma. " Mikasa nodded with her stone cold face and snuggled her scarf closer to her neck. " Eren , don't get yourself killed , and protect this brat. " Levi nodded over to me while Eren replied with a " Yes sir. " 

" And you , don't get yourself killed , fight till you can't move anymore. " He focused his vision on me. " Yes sir. " I smiled slightly at him then started leaning all my body weight on Eren.

At the Ehrmich District 

" The child , was caught in a conflict in the blood line three years ago , and is hiding under a false name. She has no idea but , she knows the secret of the walls and possesses the right  to chose to speak public. I heard that she entered the Survey corps this year. " We all perked are heads up at that , who could it be? " Her name is. " 

" What? "Armin muttered out with his shocked little expression. " Her? " Eren asked. " That girl , she's in the 104th , which would me she's on the front lines right now. " She's right , that would be they'd be fighting. " Let's go! We've got to get to the battlefield now! " Eren yelled , he ran his way to the door but then Hanije had to yell out. " Wait! I still don't know the name of everyone in the 104th. "  Eren glanced at Hanije and yelled. " She's the smallest girl in our year! " I finished his sentence before standing next to Eren's side. " Small , blond hair , blue eyes , looks like Armin. " Everyone glanced at Armin who stood there blushing from embarrassment. " Oh her... " Hanije murmured , soon enough we were ready with all are gear and horses ready to battle. 

" Here we go. " Hanije was leading is around the front lines. " Were heading to Utgard Castle. " Hanije yelled , then started speaking to Moblit. I don't understand how he could deal with her ,  I barley can , yet I'm nice enough to help her with her experiments. From what felt like hours were spent on the horses heading to the destination , we must've stay'd up all night from the feeling of tiredness and the sun slowly by slowly coming up. As we sighted the castle several yards away , we found the  sight of plenty of titans surrounding the castle then another from what looked like an intelligent titan fighting back. We rode as fast as we could to the castle as it started collapsing and the intelligent titan jumping off the roof. " Advance! " Hanije yelled , she's acting like Commander Erwin. I used my 3DM gear and flew off the horse and attacked the titan that was nearing Christa. Hanije started lecturing me minutes after then Eren jumped off his horse and started killing the titan. " I did it! My first kill! " Eren yelled excitedly , me on the other hand was attacking the titans at lighting speed. " Ha loser this is my 15th kill! " I stuck my tongue out at him as he let out a growl and started attacking the titans faster. 

" You idiots! We told you to stay back! " A scout yelled , I laughed awkwardly while landing on the ground. " Sorry! " The scout gave us a nasty glare and continued to fight the remaining titans. "Hey! Guys! " Conny yelled , he came running over with Reiner and Bertholdt with a satisfied smile. " Hey guys! "While we stood together Reiner rubbed his not hurt hand over my hair with a smirk. " Hey stop it! " I yelled while slapping his hand away. " You did good little Yeager! " Reiner said , everyone went quiet and the smile on my face faded at the sight of Ymir who was missing an arm and leg. " She's a titan shifter? " I asked. " Yeah , she saved us. " Conny muttered. " All soldiers retreat on the wall! " Hanije yelled , we went to the nearest wall and stood at the top of it. Everyone was either talking or trying to help the other onto the wall. I sat on the edge and dangled my feet over the wall. " Hey little sis. "  Eren walked over with Mikasa and Armin and joined me on the wall. Eren sat next to me while Mikasa sat on the other side and Armin next to her. " There's no hole in the wall. " Eren muttered , I glanced at him then looked back at the ground below. " That's good , at least we aren't in anymore danger. " We sat there in silence just looking at the scenery among us , the sun was now fully up and everything just became rather more peaceful again. " I can't wait to go back home. " I said , I glanced at him that was until I thought back to the last time we were in Shiganshina. " Eren , Emma can we talk to you two for a minute? " Reiner yelled , I got up from the spot and so did the others. We walked towards Reiner and Bertholdt who were by themselves as everyone else started retreating  and collecting there stuff. " What's up? " I asked with my hands on both my hips. 

" I'm the Armoured Titan , and he's the Colossal Titan. " Reiner said , there joking right , right?
" Are goal was to wipe out all of humanity , but now there's no need to do that anymore. If you two come with us , we wont need to destroy any more of the walls. " I widened my eyes and gaped my mouth open. " I'm not going with you. " I said , I stared straight into Reiner's eyes with all seriousness , he glared back at me. This doesn't seem like the nice big brother Reiner everyone knew him for , he changed into someone who no one knew , that just made me sick. I thought back to when we were at the village , we found out Annie , Reiner and Bertholdt  were from the same area , then Armin started coming up with evidence from the 57th Expedition. Hanije told us , if we find them , we act like nothing is wrong. I believe them , I believe they ruined Shiganshina  , I believe mom's death was all their fault. Everything from the start was a lie. " Eren , come on , were leaving. " I grabbed Erens hand  , attempting to walk away. Suddenly Reiner started taking off his splint which showed a huge bite mark and steam. " Are we doing it? Now here? " Bertholdt yelled. " Yes , here now! We decide this right here! " Reiner yelled. "

Suddenly Mikasa came out of nowhere and attacked both Bertholdt and Reiner , or should I say the Colossal and Armoured titan. " Run! "  I yelled , both Eren and I stood there stunned as the rest of the corps came running in are direction. The two titans started glowing a bright yellow with glares that could put us 6 feet under. With a huge flash and the loudest boom , we went flying. I felt my back brisk across the stone of the wall before I felt myself falling. A loud scream erupted from the throat as I seen the top of the wall slowly get farther away. I attempted to use my 3DM but with my luck it decided to malfunction. I pulled out my sword before ruffly stabling them into the wall. I used all my strength to grip onto the swords which helped be not fall to my death. That was until Mikasa flown by grabbing me with her 3DM and flying back up to the top. I started coughing and collapsed to my knees breathing heavily. " Thank you. " She patted my head before jumping back down and helping the two fighting titans at the bottom. As The Colossal titan placed Ymir and the other body in his mouth he started looking around before his eyes landed on me. " Fuck you too! " I yelled while flipping him the bird , his hand started coming suddenly too close before I jumped to the side. The steam coming from his body started rising around the are which burnt my skin. " All troops attack! " Hanije yelled , soon enough every scout we had here went charging at the Colossal Titan. The steam started becoming to much and the amount of strength it radiated , made me slowly started sliding back. Before I could manage to do anything , with the blink of an eye his hand went straight for me. I struggled in his grip, as his hand slowly got closer to his mouth , everything went black as he tossed me in.
