Chapter 25 - Anger is scary

After Floch and I had a very nice and friendly conversation we all had gathered into the dining hall to eat. I had sat there chatting with Eren and Armin, occasionally nibbling on my food. I had tried talking to Levi but was easily ignored, he had given me a hardened glare before looking away. I had frowned at the small gesture, what did I do wrong?  " Is something wrong with Levi? " I whispered to Eren, he glanced over at Levi who continued to angrily sit at the corner of the table. " I don't know, he just came stomping in here. " I glanced worryingly back at Levi, did something bad happen? After everyone was done eating we were all dismissed for the night, everyone had gone to their rooms to rest. I had reluctantly trudged to Levi's room, hoping to get an answer from his angered demeanor. I had knocked lightly on his door before opening it and peaking my head inside. " Tch, what do you want Emma. " He didn't look up from his paperwork, I had jumped once started talking, his tone of voice was so harsh. " I-i just wanted to know if you were okay, you weren't speaking to me at dinner and I just wanted to know if I did something wrong. " He breathed out before shaking his head. " I'm fine Emma, now go to your room and get some rest. " He really didn't seem fine, he seemed so irritated and the tone of his voice was a really big part of the evidence that something was bothering him. " I know you're not fine, please just tell me what's bothering you. " 

A low growl had let his throat, he looked up from his paperwork, his eyes were filled with anger and something else I could not point out. " Get out. " His voice was so harsh, scary even, he's never shown this much anger towards me. " Levi..." He slammed his fist against the desk and yelled out louder. " I said get out! I've had it with you, Emma! " I widened my eyes in fear, tears had pricked my eyes as I started backing away, he seemed to notice what he just said. He had got up from his desk chair and reached out to me. I couldn't even bother, he clearly didn't want me around anymore. I had choked back a cry, running out of the room and down the hallway. " Emma! Wait! " I heard him yell from behind me, I just continued running. I had managed to make it to Eren's room, quietly knocking on the door. " Who is it? " I heard him ask from the other side of the door, I didn't answer and just opened the door. " What happened? " He had begun to panic, pulling me into a hug and wiping away the dried tears. " C-can I sleep in here tonight? Please. " Eren had nodded, hugging me even more. " Did Levi do something? " I had grabbed Eren's shirt into a fist and nodded into his shoulder. 

" Come on, come lay down. " He had walked me over to the bed, laying me down and fluffing out the pillow. I scooted over so he could lay down as well, he had turned off the lights before laying down. Thank god the bed was slightly big so we could both fit. " What did that idiot do. Do you want me to go beat him up? I will If you want me to? " I laughed, even if he did he wouldn't be able to lay a hand on him without ending up with bruises. " Just turn into a titan and step on him, I'm joking, I don't want you to hurt him. " I had giggled, this was actually quite nice. I haven't had my quality time with Eren in a while, it just seems we always have something to do, no, that was sarcasm, we never have anything to do. 

Waking up in the morning was quite awful, I felt so lazy today. When waking up I had to look around the room to find Eren. He wasn't around but a new set of clothes has lied on the bedside table. I had got my clothes on and got ready for the day, I put my hair into a ponytail and walked out of the door. I had walked towards the dining hall to get breakfast, I was quite hungry but kinda scared to even face Levi again. Would it be different if I didn't run and begged him to tell what was wrong or am I just considered a coward for not taking the negativity? " What the hell did you do to my sister you asshole! " I had run into the dining hall, widened eyes and gasp once Eren started yelling at Levi. " Eren! What the hell are you doing! " Eren widened his eyes once I stomped over to him, I swear I was so angry that steam could have come out of my ears. I grabbed Eren's ear and dragged him outside, himself groaning in pain. I had slammed the doors behind me and pushed Eren to the ground. " I told you not to do anything! " I hated how Eren treats me like a child, I may be younger but I can make my own decisions. " I love you, I do, but I don't like it when you think I can't fight my own battles. Please stop treating me like a child, " 

Eren had frowned and looked down at the ground, I know he just wants to protect me but he's doing it the wrong way. " I know I'm your little sister but, maybe we both need to grow up some more. Now get up from the ground, you look like a crybaby. " Eren rolled his eyes and took my hand, he climbed to his feet and smiled at me. " Come on you idiot, let's go train. " Eren wrapped his around my shoulder as we made our way to the training area. " Yeah, you know what let's just go back inside. " Both Eren and I looked up at the sky, it was dark gray and small raindrops fell to the ground. " Your right lets just go hand out with Mikasa and Armin, I haven't done that in a while. "
