Tobias P.O.V.
We have gone a week without getting to hang out with Tris. She said that her dad yelled at her and that he banned her from seeing us. Today, though, she is sneaking out to see us. And we all are helping her. Her dad always hosts dinner parties on Fridays so we will be able to sneak her out easier. All of our friends are at my house waiting for 8:00 to come.
"What if we get caught?" Christina asks.
"I don't know. I guess we'll see," I respond. I'm nervous. I don't want to loose Tris. If we mess up tonight we might not get to hang out with her until college.
"Well, thanks for being a ray of positivity," Uriah says.
"There is just a lot riding on this mission," I say.
"You really like her don't you?" Zeke asks. I just nod not knowing what to say. We sit in a heavy silence for who knows how long before we get up to leave. I sit in the passenger's seat of Zeke's truck. We ride to Tris's house in silence.
We get to her road and I can see her house. There are at least half a dozen cars parked in front of it. We slow as we drive in front of her house. I look up at her window and see her sitting there, looking bored. I can see her eyes light up from here, though when she sees us. We pull into the empty driveway next door. The house is for sale so I doubt we get caught.
I jump out of the door and run up next to the downstairs window, between the big oak and the house's wall. I find a rock on the ground and throw it at the window. Tris looks down at me. She slides her right leg on the tree's branch. Then, she puts out her second left leg, carefully sliding the rest of her body onto the branch.
She weaves her body through the branches and limbs. Her small frame carefully finding its way to the correct branch. She is about halfway down and makes a mistake. She steps on a small twig and it snaps. She screams and falls to the ground. I run over to her and pick her up in my arms. I walk around the corner of the house only to be stopped when I hear the front open.
"Beatrice?" I hear.
I'm going to stop here! I know it's shirt but I think this will make a good cliffhanger. Please comment and leave ideas. I'll try to include any that I receive that I can get into this story.
