Chapter 30

Tris P.O.V.

I trudge through the mall, probably getting in people's way. Despite being black Friday, the people that are shopping are moving pretty fast. Christina grabs my wrist and drags me along.

"Christina! Slow down," I complain.

"Tris! Hurry up! The good stuff on sale are gonna be sold by the time I get you upstairs to the good stores!" Christina pleads. I shoot her a dirty look and sigh. Without saying anything, I lead her into an empty store that occupies two levels. We manage to get upstairs quicker through this secret route.

"Okay? Where to first?" I ask her.

"Okay, well. I need to do my Christmas shopping, and then there is the shopping for me. I also have to get something for my mom's birthday. So, I think I can get a lot of it done did we start at hot topics," she explains. I inwardly moan but I follow her there.

I look around the store and find something for almost everyone. I get Marlene a dress with the boat scene from Tangled. I buy Shauna a sweatshirt with the rose from beauty and the beast and get Lynn a Fat Amy shirt. It takes me a little bit longer to find something for the guys. I end up only finging something for Zeke and Uriah, though. I purchase an Olaf tee shirt for Uriah, considering how much he loves Frozen. Next, I get Zeke a shirt with a bunch of video games he likes on it. Plus, I get a few things for myself.

Christina goes to some old lady store and I go to search for Will's present. I look around the mall until I find the perfect place. Barnes and Noble. I hurry inside and get him a gift card along with a book on the World Wars that Caleb read and has been obsessing over.

And, finally, that leaves Christina and Tobias. I walk around the mall looking in store windows to find the perfect gift for my two closest friends but my mind contains an empty blank. I walk hustle down to the spa and get Christina a spa day.

I walk to Dick's Sporting Goods and walk around in the sections that contain equipment for the sports he plays. Unfortunately, I know nothing about football and baseball. I go to where Christina and I agreed to meet up and I think about what to get him. And, suddenly the perfect gift hits me.

I know, terrible chapter. I was just trying to get this up so you all could read it. I just need something for here through mid January. I'm also sorry that this chapter was so short. And that it isn't high quality since I wrote it on the app.

While I'm apologizing, I guess I should also point out that I've been MIA, I have been really busy so I'll try for several more updates today. Please comment and leave ideas. I would also love to have a special idea for Tris's gift for Tobias and Tobias's gift for Tris. Everyone else gifts were easy. I just need something special.
