Tris P.O.V.

I wake up before my alarm clock goes off, again. The nausea hits me immediately and I run to the bathroom. It's been like this everyday for the last week. As soon as the first wave is over I dial Christina's number. It rings twice and then she moans into it.

"Did it happen again?" she asks. She is the only person who knows about it.

"Yes. Can I come over?" I ask.

"Sure. My parents are already at work and my sister is at a friend's house so I'm here alone," she says.

"Thanks. I'll be there soon," I say. I move the phone away but I hear Christina yell something back out. "What?"

"What about Vegas? It's been about a month, Tris," she says. I bite my lip, praying that she is wrong.

"What are you saying?" I ask.

"Just stop at the store and pick up some tests," she says. I quickly agree and hurry out of the house, leaving a note for my mom.

"I'm here," I say as I push open the front door. Christina appears from behind the wall that separates the door and living room.

"Okay. So, go take the test," she says. I agree and walk to the bathroom. I read the directions and follow as they say.

When the timer I set on my phone goes off, I call for Christina. She hurries to the bathroom and grabs my hand. She gives it a quick squeeze before I take a look at the test. Positive.
