"I'm gonna miss you, man," Zeke says. He wraps me up in a hug.

"Zeke, I'm still not sure that I should go to New York," I say. He gives me a sideways expression.

"You have to. You already told Northern Illinois that you can't attend," Zeke says. I look at the floor and bite my bottom lip. "You have told them you aren't coming, right?" He asks. I shake my head.

"I'm not sure that it is the best thing for us," I explain. Zeke shakes his head.

"Tris is going to have that baby. And she is going to be in New York. You need to be there too," Zeke says.

"I don't know. She is a strong, independent woman. She doesn't need me," I say.

"You have to be there for her," Zeke challenges.

"I will only distract her from her school work. I plan on giving her enough money for her and the baby to live there for at least a year and then maybe I'll show up again," I explain. Zeke shakes his head.

"You can't do that to her. Or your child," Zeke says. I walk towards his front door. He follows me.

"Just, no matter what happens in the next few weeks, I need you to promise me something," I say.

"What is it?" he asks.

"Whatever happens. I need you to be a godparent with Christina," I say.

"I would love to," Zeke replies.
