Eric walks over to where Tris is standing, not noticing me.

"Um, hi Eric. Can I help you?" Tris asks, a worried look on her face. Her eyes look away from him and stare at me for several minutes before looking back at Eric.

"I just wanted you to know about Four's little secrets," Eric says. Tris stares at him. She has a concerned look on her face but she shouldn't. She already knows my secrets.

"What secrets are you talking about?" Tris asks. Her eyes bounce back over to me but quickly find their way back to Eric.

"I figured Four would.have told you about his past," Eric.says with a shrug. Tris crosses her arms.

"No. He hasn't told me. Why don't you tell me now?" Tris says.

"Okay. Well, should I start off with his family or his dirty little secrets?" Eric asks. Tris looks down in her lap. She hugs her knees to her chest. She is a very good actoress.

"What dirty little secret?" she asks without looking up.

"Oh, so I guess he never told you or any of your friends about his wild nights? About the nights where he would spend in his room with his lady friends?" Eric asks. Tris looks up at him. She has tears forming in her eyes. She refuses to look at me. Her eyes stay locked on Eric, believing these lies that he is feeding her.

"Eric, what are you saying?" Tris asks.

"Oh, so you don't know. He would bring home girls all the time. They would go into his room and well, all you heard were moans and giggles and such," Eric explained. I can see a tear roll down Tris's face. It crushes me to see her like this.

"Eric, Are you serious?" Tris asks.

"Yes, Tris. I used to live with him. I should know," Eric says. Tris starts bawling and I'm about to hop up to go to her but Eric already has her in his arms, confronting her.

"Eric, get away from her," I growl, finally making my presence in the room known. Eric looks over in my direction and smiles wickedly.

"What's wrong , Four? You upset that your girl is finding out the truth?" Eric spits. Tris doesn't look at me. She keeps her face hidden in her knees. Eric gets up and leaves Tris alone on the bed.

"Eric you need to leave," I spit at him.

"Okay. I'll leave you two here. Tris, I'll be downstairs, just in case you need me," Eric sings. He winks at Tris and walks out the door, quietly closing it behind him. I sit down on the bed and pull Tris into my embrace. She cries into my Chesterton a few more minutes before pulling away. She looks up into my eyes.

"Is it true?" she asks me.

"Tris, I have never done anything like that," I promise. She looks in her lap, staring at her hands.

"I just. . . Why would Eric lie about that?" Tris asks.

"Tris, Eric is just that kind of person. He has hurt all of our friends. He is trying to hurt you so bad that you'll go back to him. I promise you that I haven't lost my virginity," I explain. Tris looks into my eyes.

"Oh. Well, I guess I should tell you that I haven't either," Tris whispers. I laugh and hug her. She leaves a whisper of kiss on my lips. Then, she hops up and runs to her mirror, drawing imaginary lines under her eyes. I get up and hug her waist.

"What are you thinking about?" I ask her. She looks at me through the mirror.

"I'm thinking about how we probably need to go back downstairs before my parents get worried. Does it look like I've been crying?" she asks.
