Subject: Mushrooms
Yvonne sat in front of her computer listening to the astronauts contact people over there radio transmitters. It was another boring day at work. She played solitaire on her computer because she had all her filing done a week ago. She moved her nine of diamonds after her 10 when she heard a loud frequency from one of the radios.
“Jim is everything alright?” Yvonne buzzed in. There was no response. “Jim, come in please.” An ear piercing sound came from the radio again. She shook her head to keep her ears from ringing. “Hello? Captain?” Yvonne asked again. Finally the silence broke.
“Commander, we have a problem… Ship…Attack…Help…Straight towards…” The radio kept breaking up. Static enraged after that and Yvonne lost contact.
“Help! We lost contact!” She called. Recruits instantly began messing with the control panels searching desperately for signal.
“It’s no use. Not even the emergency backups are coming in.” Officer Ray replied trying to keep his cool.
“Try again!” Yvonne exclaimed panicking. Ray began typing real fast. Finally a picture in black and white came up on the screen. It was accessed from one of the cameras aboard the ship. Everyone aboard was slaughtered. Standing next to them was what looked like a shadowy man with terrible diseased skin.
“Call the government!” Yvonne exclaimed after the shocked silence. Officer Lesley dialed there number in fast.
“This is what we’ve been searching for! Are space ships have finally reached the part of the galaxy where extraterrestrial beings are!” Ray exclaimed almost happily.
“This is psycho, not good.” Yvonne angrily replied.
“Government says turn the ship back to Earth.” Lesley replied with her high voice.
“We want to bring that to us?” Yvonne couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Ray pressed the control turning it around before anyone could protest more. Right before there eyes the space ship collided into something with huge mass. Instant explosion came. A call from the pentagon came in. A supernova had occurred. 12 hours until it reached Earth.
