I paced around my room picking up things and shoving them into a bag.

Yeah I'll need that. hmmmm what about yea I'll take it.

I closed the bag and swung it onto my shoulder. My hands are shaking and my breathing is unsteady. I walked out of my room. I tiptoed through the hallways trying to avoid people. I finally made it to the kitchen. I grabbed as much food as possible and stuffed it into the bag.

"Lance?" Hunk called out. My whole body froze.

"Whats up Hunk? I came in here for a mid night snack." I said it in sign language. I learned it because I am deaf in one ear so I learned it just in case. I hid the bag in a cabinet near my legs.

"Okay I'm just getting a drink see you later." He walked out.

I can't stay here any longer.

I quietly took out the bag and walked out of the kitchen. I stealthily walked back to my room to make sure everything is in order.

I placed the note on my door it read:

Hello paladins,

It's ya boy Lance. I don't want to be here anymore. I can't handle the extensive training and pressure placed on me. You are all extraordinary.

I walked to the escape pods. I went to the one pidge modified to go faster. If I am right I can make it to earth within 2 years tops. Probably around 1 year but it depends on how many pit stops I will need.

I threw my bag inside then I climbed in. It powered on and made a whrring sound. I quickly hit the escape button. "one minute count down" It said.

No not 1 minute it needs to go faster.

Hunk ran in and yelled. Coran came in after Hunk.
