"Bonnie" Eudora groaned at her cousin as the Bennett dragged her through the new Allegra property. The two could not look any more different in appearance and many would question the integrity of the family relationship they claimed to possess. Of course, the pair were not bound by blood but the ties of those in a family were strong between the two girls. "I don't really think that showing up at a dinner party, uninvited, is a good way to announce that I'm back in town"
"It is the perfect way. Come on, I refuse to go alone" Bonnie demanded with a smirk on her face as she looked down at the little blonde girl. The Allegra family arrived in town the previous evening yet somehow had managed to unpack everything, there was not a single cardboard box or sheet of bubble wrap in sight. "Plus, I have seen it" Bonnie smirked and Eudora rose a questioning eyebrow.
"Have you now?"
"Oh yeah, Grams has been teaching me loads of stuff." Bonnie nodded with a playful giggle, she suddenly closed her eyes and tensed, shaking slightly as she spoke once more. "I see... Eudora shall go to the Gilbert dinner party" Bonnie announced, voice deep as she mocked. The other teenager present stared for a minute before bursting into peels of laughter which Bonnie quickly followed. "Honestly, if I get enough brandy down her, I am positive she'll be teaching me how to turn you into a frog in no time"
"A frog? Seriously, you'd turn me into a frog?"
"Hell Yeah" Bonnie demanded with a bright grin, happy that her cousin was happy. During the first few weeks of grieving, when Mercy and Bernadette had deposited Eudora on Gram's doorstep just as she was released from hospital, Eudora had been a complete mess. Her entire right side of her body had been scolded with flames, somehow those avoiding her face as she'd turned it away from the amber tones that had roared through the manor at midnight on July Fourteenth. Though her body still held the scars of that night, mocking her to remember even when at moments, her brain attempted to forget.
"Aren't you scared of frogs? I would haunt you Bonbon, you'd be sleeping and all you'd hear is the disgusting pitter patter of webbed frog feet all over your bedroom floor" Eudora mocked as she followed her friend through her freshly painted and decorated house. Everything within it was new, they had managed to salvage nothing from the manor and all they had left of the painful past was a huge family canvas which had been within her aunt Acacia's possession until now.
"Who said I would keep you?" Bonnie snorted and Eudora promptly presented a faux hurt countenance.
"Hey" the blonde giggled, tapping her cousins shoulder in a mock slap. It would seem to others that Eudora was perfectly okay though she was not, deep within she was pained beyond belief, just a shell now. Power roared within her, scars littered her and darkness taunted her. "I can just imagine, poor Eudora the frog amongst mud, nothing to eat, disowned by her fellow frogs... in the rain" Eudora stated, pouting and pretending to hold an umbrella above her head with both hands "Resorting to using a lone leaf as shelter"
