Eudora took Stefan's hand gently as he helped her out of the boat and onto the island. The past few weeks had been very rough for the pair but they had gotten through it- Together and now they were back, better than ever, ready to find the cure and get off of the island all before anything too horrible could happen. Bonnie clung to her cousin's arm tightly, for security, marvelling in the rush of power that coursed through her veins as she did so.Stefan eyed the scenery suspiciously, glaring at the trees as the girl on his arm smiled softly at him. As he glanced down at Eudora, and then Bonnie, he knew that he had to keep them all safe- for his girlfriend's sake.
"Congratulations. You've made it to level two of Jumanji." Eudora beamed as she introduced, glaring at a tree and Damon scoffed, appearing beside them with Elena and creepy Shane.
"What was level one?"
"That boat ride. That was all sorts of chaotic. Thought Bonnie was going to go overboard," she grinned and the tanned witch hit her lightly in the arm, glad to see her back to her usual, joking self. Stefan seemed to have the same happiness.
"Couldn't they have hidden this cure in Hawaii?" Damon huffed, mostly to himself but Elena rolled her eyes when he said it, digging through her bag for her water bottle as the others congregated and chatted softly on the pebble beach. "Where have you taken us?"
"Two hundred miles off of the Nova- Scotia mainland" he hummed in answer and Eudora rose an eyebrow at Stefan who merely shrugged. The two of them were fairly out of the loop but they all mutually agreed that if they were heading into a random bewitched island- They were taking their strongest witch with them. And Eudora didn't go anywhere without Stefan. "If you recall, the whole point was to hide the cure on the world's most obscure, desolate island."
"Oh yeah," Damon responded, still frowning as he perched on a rock beside Jeremy. "I thought the whole point was that no one found Silas." That was a story that Eudora did know. "The oldest, deadliest freak in the world."
"Yeah, that too" the man replied in a hum, doing his best to ignore the way Eudora was glaring at him.
"Why are you giving creepy Shane the evil eyes?" Damon questioned as he helped her up off the rock, the group preparing to enter the dense foliage.
"I don't trust him."
"Me neither" the raven-haired man huffed but they proceeded to follow him anyway because what choice did they have? They wanted the cure and he was the way to get to it. Eudora and Bonnie held each of Stefan's arms as they began the trek through the forest but he didn't mind because he knew, that to protect Eudora, he had to keep Bonnie safe. That was something he was willing to do.
"Stefan" Eudora hummed and he looked down at her the second the word left her mouth, a smile on his face when he saw her glittering eyes. "What will you do with the cure? When we find it?" she questioned softly and he blinked at her.
"Well, that's a decision we will have to make together, I think" he smiled. "Because, in me taking the cure, you'll become mortal too."
"I don't think I want it." this startled him the second she said it and he blinked and frowned in confusion, Bonnie pretending to be distracted by a bird. "I mean, we have everything we want, don't we? We have one another, and a future" she hummed and he knew what she meant. He had no reason to be human any more because all the things he wanted as a human, were now available as a vampire.
"I guess so" he chuckled, beaming now. Life was so much simpler with Eudora in it.
"Let me rescue you from the lovebirds" Jeremy chuckled loudly as he approached, taking Bonnie's other arm and pulling her silently ahead.
"Keep her safe, Jeremy" Eudora playfully glared at him with an 'Im watching you' gesture and he smiled as he saluted her in return, mockingly. The girl didn't know why, but she felt strangely unnerved by the island and Stefan could tell, as she gripped impossibly closer to him, protectively.
"Satellite phone lost the signal" Shane groaned.
"That's great" Eudora scoffed and Stefan sent her a look, to which she smiled angelically in return,
"Is anyone else a little creeped out?" Elena questioned, eyes darting around the forest.
"I blame Shane" Eudora piped up and Bonnie rose an eyebrow at her.
"Me? What did I do?" the occult man demanded and she smirked victoriously at you.
"Nothing, I just don't like you. Don't you worry, Creepy Shane, I'm a hundred times stronger than you and ready to knock you on your ass at any given moment. Be warned" she beamed and he blinked at her.
"Consider me warned."
