"We can't let Jenna die" Bonnie stated, feeling power flow into her veins from her crying cousin.
"Stefan would agree with you" Elijah informed, looking the witch deeply in the eyes and Bonnie frowned.
"We're going to offer another vampire" Stefan informed and Bonnie didn't seem any less clueless. "One that he'll want more... Me" Stefan spoke and Eudora suddenly whimpered from the ground below them. Acacia looked at Bonnie in horror at what Stefan had just said because they all knew the consequences of his words. All, except him.
"Stefan" Bonnie called as he made his way into the trees, heading to Stevens quarry. He turned looking slightly frustrated because he knew that they only had so much time remaining.
"What?"
"You can't sacrifice yourself"
"Bonnie, I know what you're saying okay? But I need to do this."
"No Stefan" she shook her head sharply. "You don't know what I'm saying. Please just listen to me for a minute! I wasn't supposed to be the one to tell you this"
"Tell me what?"
"Do you remember, months ago, Eudora told you the story of the Allegra soulmates?" Her voice was a whisper but he heard it as true as a bell.
"Bonnie?"
"You're hers Stefan. You're Eudora's soulmate and if you go and sacrifice yourself. You're not just killing you. You're killing her too" Bonnie informed, tears falling down her face.
A look of pure devastation ran across Stefan's face because the big secret was finally out and he had never felt so conflicted in all his life. Once, long ago, Stefan had wished for Eudora to have a soulmate who treated her right, who loved her. And here he was, the person she was destined to love forever.... And he loved someone else.
"Bonnie" his voice was pure with stress.
"Do you never wonder why she puts up with the things that she does? It's all because of you. Everything she does it for you Stefan. She left because she knew that that was what you wanted, what you needed. Eudora never intended on you finding out"
"I'm sorry" his hand ran across his face because he didn't know what to do.
"Stefan, Elena won't hate you for this" Bonnie promised. "There's nothing you can do because even if you did go to Elena now... Klaus would probably still use Jenna" the Bennett informed him of his options before breathing in and out, overwhelmed with the power she was obtaining. "There's nothing you can do for Elena now but Eudora? She needs you right now Stefan"
"Who else knows?"
"Everyone else knows Stefan"
"Elena?"
"Eudora told her a few days ago" she sighed before excusing herself because the time was fast approaching. Stefan knew what he had to do, for the very first time in his life, Stefan Salvatore had to put Eudora first. He had to stop being selfish.
